Help with 'My name list'

Several times now I’ve tried to add a name to one of ‘My List’ lists and I get ‘There is already a public user list with that name.’

Why? Is a name only allowed on one list or what?

Any help would be appreciated.

I think “name” in this case refers to the title of your list. You can’t edit lists because the system tries to save the new version by the given title, but can’t because the old version has the same title. It’s a known bug. Lists are just generally broken.

@merlynhawk: Because of the huge number of lists on the site, they now require a distinctive name rather than just “girls names” or “favourite names” in order to differentiate. Try giving your list a more unusual name and hopefully that will resolve the issue for you.
