So I just found, what I think will be, my next all time favorite name.
It is Machaiah. Pronounced Mah-kai-ah.
That’s how I saw it spelt when i found it. But I’m contemplating spelling it differently. But I’m not sure what the alternativessential would be. I love the letter K, so if I can sneak that in there that would be great.
I’m not sure whether I like it better on a boy or a girl either. One of my favorite girl names is [name_f]Mykah[/name_f], so I’m leaning towards girl…

I think [name_m]Micajah[/name_m] is the original spelling, but [name_m]Micaiah[/name_m] is also legitimate. I suppose you could do Mikaiah if you wanted.
I’ve never heard the name before, but it sounds intriguing! First hearing it, with its similarity to [name_u]Micah[/name_u] and [name_u]Michael[/name_u], I’d assume boy until proven otherwise.
I’ve heard this name before, and the both times I remember it was spelled Makiya. It’s a little trendy for my taste, but I kind of like it. Makiya seems a nice less clutters spelling, though I can’t say for sure if it’s the most classic spelling.
I’ve heard this name a few times. The most “famous” example is the second-youngest daughter of the 19 Kids and Counting family, [name_u]Jordyn[/name_u]-[name_f]Grace[/name_f] Makiya Duggar. I would personally probably spell it Makaiah, which you might go for considering you mention liking the K.
I’d automatically assume this was a girl’s name, if I heard it. I like it
