We are expecting a baby boy in 2 weeks, our 9th. The names of our children so far are [name_u]Noah[/name_u], [name_f]Karis[/name_f], [name_m]Ethan[/name_m], [name_u]Micah[/name_u], [name_f]Ella[/name_f], [name_u]Levi[/name_u], [name_f]Mia[/name_f] and [name_f]Sadie[/name_f]. All boys have my husband’s middle name [name_m]Daniel[/name_m], and all girls have my middle name [name_u]Anne[/name_u]. So we only need to think of the first name. The only two options that both my husband and I have agreed on so far are [name_u]Seth[/name_u] and [name_u]Chase[/name_u]. But I just don’t know… Any boy name suggestions? Not too many jump out at me lately, and I could use some ideas. Thanks!

I really like [name_u]Seth[/name_u], and I definitely prefer [name_u]Seth[/name_u] to [name_u]Chase[/name_u]. [name_u]Seth[/name_u] fits in really well with your other kids’ names too.
I see that your first 8 kids all have 2 syllable names. Not sure if that’s important to you guys, but here are some 2 syllable names that I think would sound nice with your other kids’ names:
- Ethan
- Carson
- Henry
- Emmett
- Bennett
Names I don’t personally like, but may fit in well with his big siblings or generate other ideas:
- Eli
- Ezra
I agree that [name_u]Seth[/name_u] fits in better with my sibset names. What gives me pause about [name_u]Seth[/name_u] is that it is difficult to say. [name_f]My[/name_f] younger kids don’t say it right at the moment. And the whole 2 syllable trend I have going on was completely accidental. But it would have been nice to continue that. When I google [name_u]Chase[/name_u] online I haven’t found much positive feedback on it, which I wonder why. I think it’s cute myself for a child or nice for a man. Some of the names suggested above I do like for sure and will give me some things to think about.
I think [name_u]Seth[/name_u] and [name_u]Chase[/name_u] are fine names, masculine and familiar. [name_u]Seth[/name_u] is particulaly interesting, as an underused but simple Biblical name that could be more appreciated.

Jared is my husband’s name. I do really like [name_u]Asher[/name_u]! I’ve always loved [name_m]Caleb[/name_m], but it is a close relative’s name, so I won’t use that.
Seth works great with your older kids names. I think your kids will be able to pronounce it better as they grow up. one syllable is ok here to me because the name seems to fit in very well stylistically.
