[name_u]Blake[/name_u] & [name_f]Tessa[/name_f] sound perfect together. They’re both common enough without being very popular.
I like the softness of [name_f]Lila[/name_f] with [name_u]Blake[/name_u].
I think [name_u]Blake[/name_u] and [name_f]Tessa[/name_f] sound like a great sib set!
I voted for [name_f]Tessa[/name_f]. I prefer the [name_f]Lilah[/name_f] spelling over [name_f]Tessa[/name_f], and [name_f]Tessa[/name_f] over [name_f]Lyla[/name_f], but either would be fine, they both sound nice with [name_u]Blake[/name_u].
I wouldn’t use [name_u]Sloane[/name_u] - [name_u]Sloane[/name_u] is used more often for girls, but it is still unisex, and [name_u]Blake[/name_u] is almost equally as popular for girls on the US popularity list, so I think [name_u]Blake[/name_u] and [name_u]Sloane[/name_u] together might make people think you have two girls (or maybe two boys, depending on personal associations) when seeing their names on paper or hearing them aloud. When you already have a boy with a name that is also used on girls (or vice versa) I think it’s best to give siblings of the opposite sex names that are clearly gender-specific. If you had two boys and two girls and their names were [name_u]Peyton[/name_u], [name_u]Taylor[/name_u], [name_u]Riley[/name_u] and [name_u]Elliott[/name_u], who would be able to figure out which was which? But if those same four children were [name_u]Taylor[/name_u], [name_u]Riley[/name_u], [name_f]Alyssa[/name_f] and [name_f]Emma[/name_f], it would be much more obvious. That’s not to say it would be impossible to work with, or that it’s wrong to do, it just seems much easier and somehow more fair to your kids.
I love [name_u]Sloane[/name_u] but after much discussion I came to the conclusion that it is not well received by the public in general. [name_f]Tessa[/name_f] is okay and I voted it for it. I don’t care for [name_f]Lyla[/name_f] but I [name_u]LOVE[/name_u] [name_f]Lyra[/name_f] and would have voted for it if it had been a choice.
I love [name_f]Tessa[/name_f] and I love [name_f]Lyla[/name_f] (prefer [name_f]Lilah[/name_f] though), had a tough choice choosing between them. I think [name_u]Sloane[/name_u] sounds too masculine, it goes well with [name_u]Blake[/name_u] but sounds like you have 2 boys.
[name_f]Tessa[/name_f] is one of my favorite names!
Congratulations, @watkinla,
So excited for you!
[name_f]Lila[/name_f] and [name_f]Tessa[/name_f] are too vintage-sounding with modern-sounding surname-name [name_u]Blake[/name_u].
[name_u]Sloane[/name_u], another modern-sounding surname-name with the same feel, is just right.
[name_f]Tessa[/name_f] is the standout for me – [name_u]Blake[/name_u] and [name_f]Tessa[/name_f] sound and look great together.
My least favourite is [name_u]Sloane[/name_u] (not just in your poll, but in general) as I just find it so heavy and whiny.
