My husband and I are expecting our first baby in [name]April[/name], I realize we have quite some time to go but I know if we don’t start now we’ll end up with no name or huge regrets on our decision. That being said, I need help! We have different tastes, especially when it comes to boys’ names. For a girl, we previously wanted to use [name]Daphne[/name] but have since decided against it. People seem to have trouble pronouncing it or it automatically goes to “[name]Daphne[/name] Duck”, while this doesn’t bother me so much I don’t want my child to go through school having to deal with this. We have changed it now to [name]Maggie[/name] (just [name]Maggie[/name]). Middle name will be [name]Wren[/name]. I would love to hear some opinions!
Boys names are next to impossible. We both like [name]Charlie[/name] - however, our last name is so close to [name]Sheen[/name] that I just can’t do it. I like old names, and would like to stay away from the top 100. Suggestions are greatly appreciated and much needed! Thank you!
[name]Maggie[/name] [name]Wren[/name] is cute. I like it.
I love [name]Charlie[/name] too, it’s so cute. But I understand why you wouldn’t want to use it if your last name is that close to [name]Sheen[/name]. Some suggestions for you:
[name]Matthias[/name]
[name]Adam[/name]
[name]Henry[/name]
[name]Sawyer[/name]
[name]Taylor[/name] (Too unisex now??)
[name]James[/name]/[name]Jameson[/name]
[name]Burke[/name]
[name]Elijah[/name] ([name]Eli[/name] is a nice nickname, primarily the reason I like [name]Elijah[/name] so much!)
I love [name]Abram[/name] and had it at the top of my boys list, however my husband doesn’t agree. I’m sure a lot of women feel this way, but I think I’m working with the most difficult naming partner ever.
The middle name is definitely going to be [name]Wren[/name], to honor my grandfather whose name was [name]Byrd[/name]. I love [name]Emilia[/name] but again, my husband doesn’t.
[name]Eli[/name] also falls into that category. I may just end up naming this baby alone if it’s a boy!
[name]Maggie[/name] [name]Wren[/name] is lovely, and I love the connection to ‘[name]Byrd[/name]’.
[name]Do[/name] you have a middle name you’d like to use for a son? Would it also be [name]Wren[/name], or would you go with something like Swift, [name]Lark[/name], [name]Hawk[/name], [name]Falcon[/name], [name]Drake[/name], [name]Peregrine[/name], [name]Dove[/name], or [name]Robin[/name] to honour your grandfather? Also- are you in the US or elsewhere? That changes the ‘not in top-100’ criterion
Bearing in mind [name]Charlie[/name], [name]Abram[/name], and [name]Eli[/name] (which is #58) and presuming you’re in the US:
[name]Maggie[/name] [name]Wren[/name] is precious. I really, really like it. It’s close to one of my favorite combos, [name]Margaret[/name] [name]Wren[/name]. In fact, I love [name]Maggie[/name] [name]Wren[/name] so much, I’m going to refrain giving you more girl suggestions.
Wow it’s been too long since I’ve been able to get on here!
I love [name]Abel[/name] and [name]Theo[/name]. [name]Abel[/name] is the last name of three sisters I’m friends with. I don’t know that it takes it out of my options completely, I’ll have to talk to one of them and get their opinion. It’s a great name and I really like the nickname [name]Abe[/name]. [name]Theo[/name] was one of my suggestions that my husband said no to, unfortunately.
We have considered [name]Toby[/name] as a nickname for [name]Tobias[/name] which was my husband’s father’s middle name, however I have 2 dads I think would feel left out if we didn’t somehow honor them. They may not but it wouldn’t feel right to me.
I like [name]Miles[/name] but our last name starts with “S” so it all runs together. There always seems to be a reason that a great name doesn’t work for us.
I have loved [name]Eli[/name] for years, I didn’t realize it was as popular as it is but I may just have to use it anyway. The middle name for a boy will probably be [name]Aaron[/name] after my husband’s middle name. My husband is all for “strong, masculine” names so anything that isn’t [name]John[/name], [name]George[/name] or [name]Hank[/name] (this was one of his serious suggestions!) he thinks is too girly. I think I’m going to stop asking for his opinion, haha.
We can say that we are pretty much set on [name]Maggie[/name] [name]Wren[/name] for a girl, in fact he refuses to not use [name]Maggie[/name]. I’m so glad you all seemed to like it! Maybe we’ll just hope for a girl and naming this baby won’t be such an exhausting process! Thanks again!
I like both name [name]Daphne[/name] and [name]Charlie[/name] that sounds better and good name for baby girl and baby boy. If you are looking for some more good name for your first baby than i suggest you to use web option there are many of good website for baby’s name that such good option to use for choosing the best name of baby boy and baby girl.
