We currently have a son named [name_m]Declan[/name_m] and are expecting a baby girl in [name_f]September[/name_f]. We are having a tough time narrowing it down to a top 2 or 3 names (and are not opposed to adding other names to our list of options). We would like something that is not a super popular name (no top 20s) and it doesn’t have to be super feminine.
Current names we are considering are:

I love [name_f]Ivy[/name_f] and [name_f]Aria[/name_f]!! [name_u]Blake[/name_u] is a favourite as well
[name_f]Danica[/name_f], feels a little clunky to me and I know this is silly but I like [name_u]Sloane[/name_u] without the ‘e’ on the end a lot better haha.
I like [name_f]Aria[/name_f] as well (better then [name_f]Ariana[/name_f]) but hubby thinks people will think we named her after the Game of Thrones character. But he like [name_f]Ariana[/name_f] (and I can call them [name_f]Aria[/name_f] as a nn). I really like [name_f]Lux[/name_f], [name_f]Willa[/name_f], [name_f]Mila[/name_f], and [name_f]Isla[/name_f] but hubby hates them so they didn’t make the short list.

I think [name_m]Declan[/name_m] and [name_f]Ivy[/name_f] sound best. [name_f]Ivy[/name_f] is so sweet and pure. I’m really not a huge fan of [name_u]Sloane[/name_u] or [name_u]Blake[/name_u]…they both sound more masculine to me. I’m also not a big fan of [name_f]Danica[/name_f] with [name_m]Declan[/name_m]…they sound too similar because they star with D and have C’s and N’s in them. When you use too many of the same letters it sound odd and become a mouthful. Best of luck!
I like [name_f]Ivy[/name_f], [name_f]Ariana[/name_f], and [name_u]Vivian[/name_u] (I would prefer [name_u]Vivien[/name_u] or [name_f]Vivienne[/name_f]). Since [name_m]Declan[/name_m] ends in -an, [name_f]Ivy[/name_f] would be my favourite.
Thanks for the feedback! As of right now I think we have decided on [name_f]Ivy[/name_f] [name_f]Michelle[/name_f]. Although that has 3 months to change…haha.
[name_m]Declan[/name_m] & [name_u]Shea[/name_u] are perfection!
My second choice would be [name_u]Sloane[/name_u] & [name_f]Ivy[/name_f], but I love [name_u]Shea[/name_u].
I think [name_f]Ivy[/name_f], [name_u]Shea[/name_u] and [name_u]Sloane[/name_u] work best because they bring a softer sound to match with [name_m]Declan[/name_m]'s more forceful consonants. [name_f]Danica[/name_f] and [name_m]Declan[/name_m] seem a little too similar for my ears!
…but my husband isn’t sure about them.
