Help With Names For Baby Girl

Hello all! I’m about 31 weeks pregnant with a beautiful baby girl! Although, my husband and I are having trouble naming her. We are both drawn to more vintage style names. We already have two daughters, [name_f]Emersyn[/name_f] [name_u]Harlow[/name_u] (not very vintage but my husband and I thought it sounded pretty), and [name_f]Claire[/name_f] [name_u]Evelyn[/name_u], which is a family name. [name_f]My[/name_f] husband and I have already decided on [name_f]Victoria[/name_f] as a middle name. [name_f]My[/name_f] husband and I both narrowed down all the names we both liked, which are: [name_f]Eloise[/name_f], [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f], [name_f]Millie[/name_f], [name_f]Colette[/name_f], and [name_f]Margo[/name_f]. I would loves to hear which name(s) out of the ones listed you think are the best for this baby girl!

Eloise [name_f]Victoria[/name_f] is really nice, but you’d have 2 E names then (I don’t know if that’s an issue or not for you.). If you don’t want the same initial, [name_f]Margo[/name_f] is super cute.

Margo [name_f]Victoria[/name_f] is my personal favorite! I also like the idea of [name_f]Colette[/name_f] [name_f]Victoria[/name_f] so you have two girls with E initials in their names and two with C in their names.

Firstly, I love your other daughter’s names!

Out of your choices I really like [name_f]Margo[/name_f] [name_f]Victoria[/name_f] and [name_f]Eloise[/name_f] [name_f]Victoria[/name_f], but [name_f]Millie[/name_f] [name_f]Victoria[/name_f] is cute too!

I think [name_f]Margo[/name_f] sounds the best with [name_f]Emersyn[/name_f] and [name_f]Claire[/name_f]. It blends the classic feel of [name_f]Claire[/name_f] with more modern [name_f]Emersyn[/name_f], imho.

Hi there.

Nice list!

Here are my thoughts-

Eloise-I love this, but I don’t know…is it too close to [name_f]Emersyn[/name_f]? Maybe not a deal breaker if it’s your favorite, but something to consider.

Eleanor-Same as above. It’s one of my favorite names though. I love how it’s feminine, bold & adventurous.

Millie-That’s really cute, but kind of nick-namey in my opinion. I do think that it sounds nice w/your crew. Would be cute as a nn for [name_u]Camille[/name_u], [name_f]Camilla[/name_f], [name_f]Emilia[/name_f], [name_f]Matilda[/name_f] or [name_f]Millicent[/name_f].

Colette-Very nice & elegant. It seems so fancy next to [name_f]Emersyn[/name_f] though, but not a deal breaker if you love it.

Margo-Hm. This seems like a nice balance between [name_f]Emersyn[/name_f] & [name_f]Claire[/name_f]. I kind of think that [name_f]Margot[/name_f] is the more well known spelling, but I guess either way. It’s feminine, but kind of sporty & not too frilly.

Hope this helps.

I prefer sibsets with names that start with different letters. So that leaves [name_f]Millie[/name_f] or [name_f]Margo[/name_f] (for me). And I absolutely love [name_f]Margo[/name_f]!! It has such a sweet meaning (pearl) and feels strong and empowering (this is probably because of a character, by this name, on The Magicians )

I’m going with the majority and saying [name_f]Margo[/name_f] [name_f]Victoria[/name_f] is my favorite

My vote goes to [name_f]Margo[/name_f]. [name_f]Margo[/name_f] [name_f]Victoria[/name_f] is gorgeous! I love [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f] and [name_f]Eloise[/name_f] as well but as you already have a child with an E name I prefer [name_f]Margo[/name_f] for you.

Form your list, I like [name_f]Margo[/name_f]. It bridges the gap between [name_f]Emersyn[/name_f] and [name_f]Claire[/name_f]. Here are some more names that will split the difference:

Maisie
[name_f]Scarlett[/name_f]
[name_f]Maeve[/name_f]
[name_f]Isla[/name_f]
[name_f]Poppy[/name_f]
[name_f]Freya[/name_f]
[name_f]Tessa[/name_f]
[name_f]Lilah[/name_f]

Colette [name_f]Victoria[/name_f] is simply gorgeous, especially paired with [name_f]Emersyn[/name_f] and [name_f]Claire[/name_f]!

I prefer names that have different initials so for me my favourite is [name_f]Margo[/name_f] [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f]. I think [name_f]Margo[/name_f] is super sweet. I like with [name_f]Emersyn[/name_f] & [name_f]Claire[/name_f]!

Congrats & Good luck :partying_face::partying_face:

Millie feels the right balance of vintage and fresh so it fits with her siblings. [name_f]Margo[/name_f] works really well too

I think [name_f]Margo[/name_f] bridges the gap between [name_f]Emersyn[/name_f] and [name_f]Claire[/name_f] very nicely! And [name_f]Margo[/name_f] [name_f]Victoria[/name_f] is just so lovely. Of your shortlist this is far and away my favorite option.

[name_f]Millie[/name_f]/ [name_f]Milly[/name_f] would be my second choice.

Eloise [name_f]Victoria[/name_f] is amazing.

Margo (thought I prefer [name_f]Margot[/name_f] or spelling) would be my 2nd choice.

They have the best flow with [name_f]Victoria[/name_f].

Also, this is totally my name OCD… [name_f]Emersyn[/name_f], [name_f]Eloise[/name_f] and [name_f]Claire[/name_f]…it’s two E names and 1 C name. Which feels disharmonious to me. ([name_m]Just[/name_m] personal preference)
I like [name_f]Emersyn[/name_f], [name_f]Claire[/name_f], and [name_f]Margo[/name_f]!

A baby named [name_f]Margo[/name_f] [name_f]Victoria[/name_f] makes my heart skip a beat.

I love [name_f]Colette[/name_f] [name_f]Victoria[/name_f], [name_f]Margo[/name_f] [name_f]Victoria[/name_f], and [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f] [name_f]Victoria[/name_f]!

I feel like [name_f]Emersyn[/name_f], [name_f]Claire[/name_f], and [name_f]Margo[/name_f] fit the best together though :grinning:

Eleanor feels too close to [name_f]Emersyn[/name_f] and [name_f]Colette[/name_f] and [name_f]Claire[/name_f] are fairly similar too.
