Help with naming a character?

[name_m]Hi[/name_m], I’m looking for a name for a character in a novel I’m writing, but I’m having trouble.

My character seems blandly gentle and sweet, but she’s spirited and intelligent with a sarcastic sense of humour, she’s very compassionate and people-oriented(although shy), and she’s scarily perceptive(she’s a quiet girl who observes everything) If it helps, she’s pale and dark haired and has expressive eyes.

i’ve been thinking of a classic name, and I’ve tried names like [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f], [name_f]Catherine[/name_f], [name_f]Anne[/name_f], [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f], [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f], [name_f]Alice[/name_f] and [name_f]Sophie[/name_f] (only I can’t seem to decide on one).

I’d really appreciate your opinion on which name would be right for the character

Thanks for reading this through!

[name_m]How[/name_m] about an anagram?

[name_f]Gwendalyn[/name_f] [name_f]Della[/name_f] Nesbett
= blandly gentle and sweet

– [name_f]Nephele[/name_f]

Pale with dark hair; my first instincts are [name_f]Amy[/name_f], [name_f]Julia[/name_f], [name_f]Bridget[/name_f] or [name_f]Alice[/name_f]. [name_m]Don[/name_m]'t know why.

I don’t think [name_f]Sophie[/name_f] fits the description you gave though. [name_f]Sophie[/name_f]'s to me are bubbly, out going and friends with everyone.

I’m moving this to the writers forum, where it should go.

Thank you.

[name_m]How[/name_m] about [name_f]Sophronia[/name_f], [name_f]Vivianne[/name_f], [name_f]Vanessa[/name_f], [name_f]Genevieve[/name_f]? [name_m]How[/name_m] old is the character? Is your book set in modern day?

The character’s around sixteen years old…Yes, it is set in modern day. I only prefer the classic names because the character is fond of classic literature.
