I love the name [name_m]Atticus[/name_m] but have only really recently considered it as a first name. I was wondering what other people think of it. It has to match with [name_m]Elijah[/name_m] [name_m]Walter[/name_m] [name_m]Fox[/name_m].
The alternative was [name_m]Moses[/name_m] but I’m warming more towards [name_m]Atticus[/name_m].
EDIT: I have decided on Atticus but need a mn. Opinions on Duke?
Hmm…
I actually really love [name_m]Atticus[/name_m]! [name_m]Atticus[/name_m] is really handsome, has great literacy connotations and has a very handsome retro sound. [name_m]Atticus[/name_m] works well with [name_m]Elijah[/name_m], I can defiantly imagine [name_m]Elijah[/name_m] & [name_m]Atticus[/name_m] as siblings they sound very handsome together. [name_m]Even[/name_m] though I do love [name_m]Moses[/name_m] I think [name_m]Elijah[/name_m] & [name_m]Moses[/name_m] could be a religious over-load and if you had more children this could potential limit you to using religious names. For example [name_m]Elijah[/name_m], [name_m]Moses[/name_m] and [name_m]Alfred[/name_m] seems a little strange [name_m]Alfred[/name_m] looking strange next to such religious choices.
Thanks for everyone’s advice! ^That is very true and I completely agree (however I am religious so I quite like religious names). I do like [name_m]Atticus[/name_m] [name_m]Moses[/name_m] [name_m]Absalom[/name_m]/Absolom. Not sure whether it is too out there though! Thanks again.
I love [name_m]Atticus[/name_m] so much, and I would love to meet a little [name_m]Atticus[/name_m], and I love it so much more than [name_m]Moses[/name_m], but I honestly don’t love it with [name_m]Elijah[/name_m]. I would much prefer to meet brothers [name_m]Elijah[/name_m] and [name_m]Moses[/name_m] than [name_m]Elijah[/name_m] and [name_m]Atticus[/name_m], and I’m not sure why. But now that I’ve seen [name_m]Elijah[/name_m] and [name_m]Atticus[/name_m] next to each other, it doesn’t bug me so much as I thought it would, so [name_m]Atticus[/name_m] fully gets my vote; I adore it.
Thank you for your inputs! heytherepigeon it is a shame that you don’t like the name. ashthedreamer:-That was my thought but if you think it works well then that’s definitely cut through that doubt! meganh07:- That is terribly cute as a nickname I have to admit!
Thanks berries and keep the opinions coming, it helps a lot!

Thanks berries and keep the opinions coming, it helps a lot! Also any opinions on [name_m]Atticus[/name_m] [name_m]Moses[/name_m] [name_m]Absalom[/name_m]?
I suppose it does and I do like [name_m]Moses[/name_m] and [name_m]Elijah[/name_m] together but I can’t help but love the name [name_m]Atticus[/name_m]!
Aw that is such a shame! [name_m]Don[/name_m]'t know what your hubby was thinking! I am seriously considering it and it could be an ode to you as well :-). [name_f]Do[/name_f] you like it with the middle names [name_m]Moses[/name_m] and Absolom? Thanks for your positive feedback!
*By the way I love the name [name_f]Maeby[/name_f]!
I like Absolom, it’s not heard often. The spelling [name_m]Absalom[/name_m] is also Old Test, he was [name_m]King[/name_m] [name_m]David[/name_m]'s son and very handsome. I don’t think it sounds overly religious. It just means that you like old Hebrew names, like some people like Spanish or Irish names. Something like [name_m]Simon[/name_m] [name_m]Peter[/name_m] [name_m]Josiah[/name_m] would be OVERLY religious, in my opinion.
What does your last name sound like? [name_m]Atticus[/name_m] [name_m]Moses[/name_m] [name_m]Absalom[/name_m] sounds great in theory, kinda depends on the last name though.
Thank you! That is very true and I like biblical names with sentiment as well as being religious. I’m not too sure which spelling I prefer! I love the combination too so thanks for reaffirming this. The last name is Bowes which rhymes with clothes haha. Still think it goes?
I like [name_m]Atticus[/name_m], even though it does feel a bit overtly literary. It is one of those names that everyone will know what you were going for and in my opinion think “oh I love that book” or “those parents were trying way too hard.” I would think “Oh, I love that book” btw. [name_m]Atticus[/name_m] [name_m]Moses[/name_m] [name_m]Absalom[/name_m] sounds like quite the serious name. A bit too heavy for my tastes, but not horrible sounding.
violetindigo- [name_u]True[/name_u], it does tend to divide opinion but I’m glad you like it! Yeah, middle names are up for debate and by no means set in stone I just put some names that I like together for the minute to see the vibe. I’m starting to like Atticus Duke now haha
