Help with Rupert!

My husband and I have picked [name_m]Rupert[/name_m] [name_f]Willow[/name_f] for our baby boy, but are beginning to have second thoughts on [name_m]Rupert[/name_m]. Is it too dusty or nerdy? [name_f]Do[/name_f] you think it fits well with our name style and the names of my older kids?

I do think [name_m]Rupert[/name_m] fits in with your other children. I slightly prefer [name_m]Rueben[/name_m] but go with what you love!

I adore the name [name_m]Rupert[/name_m]! I don’t think it’s musty at all, and it goes well with your children’s names. It’s not nerdy exactly, but it is rather bookish – if that bothers you, the nicknames Roo/[name_u]Rue[/name_u], Rupe, and [name_m]Rip[/name_m] instantly make it cool.

[name_m]Rupert[/name_m] is interesting cause it sounds like old [name_f]England[/name_f] to me but can think of two fab actors by that name right off the bat – [name_m]Rupert[/name_m] [name_u]Everett[/name_u] and [name_m]Rupert[/name_m] Grint. So two very different guys at different ages. I think both of them make the name very wearable and almost more cool than nerdy.

[name_m]Rupert[/name_m] is on my list of favorites! We won’t end up using it for a few reasons, but I really like the name, and it’s far enough up on my list of favorites that I would get that pang of name-jealousy if I met a baby with the name. ([name_m]Even[/name_m] though I won’t be using it). Nice name and I like the nn Ru.
