We have a little boy [name_m]Donny[/name_m] [name_m]Fox[/name_m]. Surname starts with G, very common, two syllables. I feel I’ve created a bit of “situation” with the middle name [name_m]Fox[/name_m], as [name_m]Donny[/name_m] has fox toys, fox clothes, gets fox birthday cards etc. I would like the second child to have a “special” name, too, be it first or middle, even if it is a colour, animal etc. I’m having trouble with order, flow and a suitable match (most likely the last child). I’d thought I throw my lists out there and see if anyone can come up with magical. I REALLY enjoyed the recent list “If you had a baby today…” I’d ultimately like something a little vintagey, different and imaginative. Would be delighted to consider names not on my favourites list. Thanks in advance. [name_u]Lou[/name_u].
In the United States, [name_m]Donald[/name_m] was most popular in 1934. [name_m]Frank[/name_m] and [name_f]Betty[/name_f] were other top-20 names that year :).
I absolutely love [name_f]Birdie[/name_f]. Some other suggestions :
[name_f]Faun[/name_f]/[name_f]Fawn[/name_f]
Filly
[name_u]Teddy[/name_u]
[name_u]Dove[/name_u]
[name_u]Kit[/name_u]
[name_f]Kitty[/name_f]
Quail
I must say [name_f]Betty[/name_f] [name_f]Bee[/name_f] sounds like a winner. The boys’ list was so much fun, I couldn’t wait to get to the girls’ list.
I love the suggestion of [name_f]Betty[/name_f] [name_f]Bee[/name_f]! So sweet with [name_m]Donny[/name_m] [name_m]Fox[/name_m]!
[name_f]My[/name_f] thoughts:
[name_f]My[/name_f] top choice would be [name_f]Kat[/name_f] /[name_f]Cat[/name_f] which could stand alone like [name_m]Donny[/name_m] or be a nickname for [name_f]Katherine[/name_f]/[name_f]Catherine[/name_f].
Animals, birds:
Duckling
[name_u]Dove[/name_u]
[name_f]Cricket[/name_f]
Flamingo (If used as a first, perhaps [name_f]Ina[/name_f] or [name_f]Inez[/name_f]/[name_f]Ines[/name_f] would be cute nns.)
Sweet names to go with [name_u]Dream[/name_u]:
[name_f]Eulalia[/name_f] / [name_f]Laia[/name_f] / [name_f]Eulala[/name_f] (sweet speaking)
[name_f]Dulcie[/name_f] Dreams
[name_f]Nemy[/name_f]
[name_f]Roanna[/name_f]
[name_f]Shirin[/name_f] (charming, sweet)
Would you be open to something that means an animal or does it have to be obvious? For example, We discovered our dog’s name [name_m]Drake[/name_m], like [name_m]Draco[/name_m], means “Dragon” (also as a result he has LOTS of Dragon toys, etc. lol)
“Obvious” ones I like, sorry for any repeats:
