Help with some names

[name]Hi[/name] everyone,
I’m expecting my first and so all this is new to me!
Theres a few names I’ve been thinking about but I have some questions that I hope you can help with!!

[name]Gabe[/name]- I love this name for a boy! However I’m not overly keen on [name]Gabriel[/name] as a full name. I see [name]Gabe[/name] as fine on its own but I don’t want my boy to feel like he’s been cheated of a full name.
What do you think?

[name]Lachlan[/name]- I really love this and I know its fairly popular ( I’m in Australia) but I’m not sure how popular amongst babies being born in the past few years. I don’t mind a name that is popular, as long as he isn’t going to have several others in every class he attends. [name]Do[/name] you think it is too popular? What other names are similar?

[name]Charlotte[/name]- Similar concern to [name]Lachlan[/name]. However, I have seen myself that this name is very popular. Are there any names you can suggest that are similar to [name]Charlotte[/name]?

[name]Polly[/name]- I love [name]Polly[/name] as a nickname but I don’t think I would want to put it on the Birth Certificate. What can it be a nickname for?
It would be a bonus if I could find a name similar to [name]Charlotte[/name] with the nickname [name]Polly[/name]!!

[name]Gabe[/name]: If I were you, I would just use [name]Gabriel[/name] on the birth certificate by always call him by [name]Gabe[/name]. It’s nice to have a “proper” name to use when he’s older, professionally. I love the names [name]Gabriel[/name] and [name]Gabe[/name], both are so classic and handsome.

[name]Lachlan[/name]: [name]Lachlan[/name] has been rising in Australia for many years and is know firmly the 3rd most popular name for babies born in 2009 and 2008. So I’d definitely avoid it if I were you; chances are, there will be at least one other [name]Lachlan[/name] in his class at all times. You may like similar sounding names [name]Callahan[/name], [name]Locke[/name], Lockhart, [name]Lockwood[/name], [name]Cullen[/name], [name]Harlan[/name], [name]Lakelan[/name], [name]Stellan[/name], [name]Quillan[/name] or [name]Rolan[/name]. [name]Charlotte[/name]: Again, this has also gone up to being 3rd most popular. You may like similar sounding names [name]Chelsea[/name], [name]Charity[/name], [name]Carlotta[/name], [name]Carlina[/name], [name]Caroline[/name], [name]Carla[/name], [name]Lieselotte[/name], [name]Colette[/name], [name]Scarlet[/name], [name]Harlow[/name] or [name]Violette[/name]. [name]Polly[/name]: this was originally a nickname for [name]Molly[/name], which is a nickname for [name]Mary[/name] ultimately. You could also use it as a nickname for Pomeline, [name]Apolline[/name], [name]Penelope[/name], [name]Pollyanna[/name], [name]Apollonia[/name], Apollina, Poloma, or Eppoline. It’s very cute
