So since my last post, my husband is falling in love with the name [name_f]Clover[/name_f]. I really like it as well, but I think I’m more on the fence than he is. I worry that it might not be feminine enough. [name_f]My[/name_f] other daughter’s name is [name_f]Violet[/name_f] [name_m]Jaymes[/name_m]. I am wondering if we do name our little one [name_f]Clover[/name_f], if I should try to do a really feminine middle name for her. I lean towards traditional, classic, and nature related names. [name_f]My[/name_f] husband really likes the combo [name_f]Clover[/name_f] [name_f]Snow[/name_f]. I’ve also had it suggested that I change [name_f]Clover[/name_f] to Cloverly and I’m wondering what you all think about that idea as well. Also, what nicknames do you feel are associated with the name [name_f]Clover[/name_f]? I’ve heard [name_f]Clo[/name_f], Clovie, [name_f]Chloe[/name_f], and [name_f]Lovey[/name_f]. I feel like I’ve considered every name in the book, but still am not set on a name and I really want to make sure I get this right.
I love [name_f]Clover[/name_f]! As for middle names, I’d go [name_f]Clover[/name_f] [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] since it’s a good balance of hippie/nature and traditional/classic.
I love [name_f]Clover[/name_f] as well! I do think a classic feminine name would work in the middle even though I think [name_f]Clover[/name_f] is feminine itself. On my list I have [name_f]Clover[/name_f] [name_f]Eloise[/name_f], but [name_f]Clover[/name_f] [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] is also great.
Not to mention…
[name_f]Clover[/name_f] [name_f]Amelia[/name_f]
[name_f]Clover[/name_f] [name_f]Marjorie[/name_f]
[name_f]Clover[/name_f] [name_f]Sabrina[/name_f]
[name_f]Clover[/name_f] [name_f]Evangeline[/name_f]
[name_f]Clover[/name_f] [name_f]Melody[/name_f]
[name_f]Clover[/name_f] [name_f]Genevieve[/name_f]
[name_f]Clover[/name_f] [name_f]Gwendolyn[/name_f]
[name_f]Clover[/name_f] [name_f]Hermione[/name_f]
[name_f]Clover[/name_f] [name_f]Lucille[/name_f]
I don’t like [name_f]Clover[/name_f] [name_f]Snow[/name_f] because it’s too wordy and plus the words give conflicting images to me. (green clovers in the spring vs. White frosty snow of winter). Please avoid Cloverly at all costs! And I like [name_f]Cloe[/name_f] ([name_f]Chloe[/name_f]) as a nickname for [name_f]Clover[/name_f], or just the term of endearment “[name_u]Love[/name_u]” since it’s found within [name_f]Clover[/name_f]. But it is is short, so a nickname is not necessary anyway.
I love [name_f]Clover[/name_f]! Not a big fan of [name_f]Clover[/name_f] [name_f]Snow[/name_f]- sounds awkward and a little too over-the-top. Also not a big fan of Cloverly, [name_f]Clover[/name_f] on it’s own is adorable. As far as nicknames, [name_f]Clo[/name_f] seems most natural although [name_u]Love[/name_u]/[name_f]Lovie[/name_f] would be cute.
Some combos…
[name_f]Clover[/name_f] [name_f]Alexandra[/name_f]
[name_f]Clover[/name_f] [name_f]Madeline[/name_f]
[name_f]Clover[/name_f] [name_u]Simone[/name_u]
[name_f]Clover[/name_f] [name_f]Emmeline[/name_f]
[name_f]Clover[/name_f] [name_f]Elise[/name_f]
[name_f]Clover[/name_f] [name_f]Tallulah[/name_f]
I too really like [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f], but 3 other kiddos already have that middle name in my family. We also have a [name_f]Melody[/name_f], [name_f]Elise[/name_f], [name_f]Lucille[/name_f], and [name_f]Amelia[/name_f] sadly as I like the flow of many of those. I like [name_f]Clover[/name_f] [name_f]Emmeline[/name_f] and [name_f]Clover[/name_f] [name_f]Evangeline[/name_f].
I absolutely love Clover and Violet & Clover sound great together in my opinion. I’m not a fan of Cloverly.

I love [name_f]Clover[/name_f]. She’s so spunky and unique. She’s always been favorite of mine.
[name_u]Love[/name_u], love, love the name [name_f]Annabelle[/name_f]! We actually considered it for a 1st name in the beginning. I don’t know why I never thought of it as a middle name. I’ll definitely be running it by my husband. I also like [name_f]Anneliese[/name_f]…adorable
I am so grateful for those who say they love the name [name_f]Clover[/name_f]. I have worried that maybe it was a little too “different” and have received a lot of mixed reviews from family and friends so it’s made me a little more gun shy than I was originally.
[name_f]Do[/name_f] any of you have thoughts on [name_f]Clover[/name_f] Avonlea (pronounced Av-un-lee)?
[name_f]Clover[/name_f] is a very cute name for a little girl, and I could see it grow up well too. It does need a bit of a more feminine mn. Middle names could be:

[name_f]Clover[/name_f] [name_f]Katherine[/name_f]
[name_f]Clover[/name_f] [name_u]Quinn[/name_u]

[name_f]Clover[/name_f] [name_f]Grace[/name_f]
[name_f]Clover[/name_f] [name_f]Clarissa[/name_f]
I really like [name_f]Clover[/name_f]! Adorable. Good luck!
I probably should’ve mentioned that our last name also begins with the © sound, so I’m pretty sure I should avoid a middle name that also begins with that sound unless I want a tongue twister
I really liked [name_f]Claire[/name_f] or [name_f]Clara[/name_f] for a middle name, but had to nix it b/c of this
[name_f]CLOVER[/name_f] ROCKS! and it is feminine
