We really love the name Sadie for a girl and are pretty set on it. It’s the boy’s name that is giving us trouble. Our top options at the moment are Landon, Liam, Nolan, and Wade. Wade is probably our favorite but I’m concerned it’s too close to Sadie. My significant other thinks it’s perfect. Wade and Sadie. Any thoughts?
OOOOH I love [name_u]Wade[/name_u] and [name_f]Sadie[/name_f]!
I understand your concern and see the relation between them, but I think that is just enough to relate them as twins. Plus the sound is slightly different when I say it to myself. I think it is a great sibset
Welcome to Nameberry!
I really think that Sadie and Wade are too close in sound and it would be much more interesting to choose names that compliment each other, but not rhyme or share the same sounds. My favourite on your list is Nolan alongside Sadie but Liam is nice too. Maybe William (with the nn Liam or even Will) as it definitely fits style-wise next to Sadie. Landon feels more modern next to the classic Sadie but that may just be me. Leo or Theo come to mind for you as well. Good luck finding the perfect name for your little man!
[name_u]Wade[/name_u] and [name_f]Sadie[/name_f] could work. Otherwise one has to give either [name_f]Sadie[/name_f] and [name_m]Wayne[/name_m] or [name_u]Wade[/name_u] and [name_f]Sandie[/name_f] if you worried about the rhyming lite nature of the two together.
I do agree that the prominent “ade” sound in those names could be a little too matchy. That said, they are twins, so I think it works! I love [name_u]Nolan[/name_u] and [name_f]Sadie[/name_f] together too, that’s beautiful.
Hmm…
Personally I think the ‘ade’ sound in both names makes them feel a little too close. If it was me I would use [name_u]Wade[/name_u] in the middle name slot maybe even have two middle names as it would be a shame too loose out on using your favourite name.
I really love [name_f]Sadie[/name_f] & [name_u]Nolan[/name_u]. [name_u]Nolan[/name_u] is a lovely Irish name that feels spunky and upbeat. I really like the meaning champion and I actually think [name_u]Nolan[/name_u] almost title meaning works really well with [name_f]Sadie[/name_f] meaning princess. [name_f]Sadie[/name_f] & [name_u]Nolan[/name_u] is gorgeous they have a lovely southern vibe. I would go [name_u]Nolan[/name_u] [name_u]Wade[/name_u]
Good luck
[name_u]Welcome[/name_u]!
I do understand your concerns and perhaps if [name_f]Sadie[/name_f] and/or [name_u]Wade[/name_u] was a nn for a full name it would work? Maybe [name_f]Sarah[/name_f] nn [name_f]Sadie[/name_f] or [name_u]Walter[/name_u] nn [name_u]Wade[/name_u] could work for you!
Otherwise I would suggest [name_f]Sadie[/name_f] and [name_u]Wyatt[/name_u]!
It does feel a little close to me. Like, when you’re in one of those stressful, kids-misbehaving-and-you’re-sleep-deprived moments, you’re going to accidentally call them [name_f]Sade[/name_f] and Wadie.
But I LOVE [name_u]Nolan[/name_u] with [name_f]Sadie[/name_f]. And my runner-up would be [name_u]Liam[/name_u]. [name_u]Wade[/name_u] is really a great name, but maybe [name_f]Sadie[/name_f] won this one, and you could put him in the middle slot? [name_u]Nolan[/name_u] [name_u]Wade[/name_u], [name_u]Liam[/name_u] Wade…
