Me and my husband are expecting twins, babies #4 and #5. We decided to not know their genders until they are officially here. Our older children are called Freddie Rhodes, Charlie Keith and Jude Leander. Last name has 3 syllables and ends with ‘son’ so names like Hudson are out. We are both British so keeping the heritage in names is important to us.
All of our kids have their first or middle name as honour. Our honour names this time are Johannah, Anne, Desmond. Spellings and variations can be different. Other names that we like are Isaac, Asher, Matilda, Willow
Our top runners:
Girl/Girl:
Matilda Joanne & Willow Annabel
Girl/Boy:
Annabel Joanne (Joan) & Asher Desmond
(is the same first letter in twins too much??)
Boy/Boy:
Asher Desmond & Isaac Johannes
Please give us opinions on our top runners and of course more suggestions! We would love to hear the combinations you come up with or even new names that would fit into our combos!
Frankly, I think you’ve nailed it with your BB/GG combos. Before reading your ideas I was about to suggest Matilda Joanne - it combines both your girl middles in one and Matilda suits your others sibs so well.
If you were to use Annabel Joanne for a G/B set of twins, I would make it Annabel Joan so it’s less repetitive, but honestly Matilda Joanne feels perfect for you if you just have the one girl.
You could use Rosamond to get the Desmond honour in there with a GG pair - maybe Matilda Rosamond and Annabel Joan?
I don’t think it’s too much, it’s kind of sweet especially since it’s not shared by any of the other sibs. But if you want to avoid it, Matilda Joanne and Asher Desmond / Annabel Joan and Isaac Desmond?
Congrats and do post in the birth announcements section when they arrive, I’m always excited about twins!
Thank you so much for your ideas! I was also thinking of [name_f]Matilda[/name_f] [name_u]Joan[/name_u] if we have only one girl, but husband really wants to honour the name [name_u]Anne[/name_u] because it’s his mom’s name. (we never found a good boy variation, lol!)
I was never really into mom/name forums before, but I’ve become addicted to Nameberry when I was pregnant with my youngest son and now I’ve made an account. So maybe I’ll post their birth announcement, I’m so excited to have twin beans. Xx
[name_f]Matilda[/name_f] [name_f]Joanne[/name_f] and [name_u]Willow[/name_u] [name_f]Annabel[/name_f] are charming and lovely! Both strong, fresh and sweet
[name_f]Annabel[/name_f] [name_f]Joanne[/name_f] and [name_u]Asher[/name_u] [name_m]Desmond[/name_m] are nice - especially the latter. I don’t mind matching initials, but I do prefer [name_f]Matilda[/name_f] [name_f]Joanne[/name_f] to [name_f]Annabel[/name_f] [name_f]Joanne[/name_f] (because the [name_f]Anna[/name_f]- -anne bothers me a bit)
[name_u]Asher[/name_u] [name_m]Desmond[/name_m] and [name_m]Isaac[/name_m] [name_m]Johannes[/name_m] are great - love how they’re both cheerful in meaning and sweet in sound!
I love your G/G and B/B options. I don’t love the repeat initials or the repeated “anne” sound in [name_f]Annabel[/name_f] [name_f]Joanne[/name_f]. Either of the combos from the G/G set pair with either combo from the B/B set, I like [name_f]Matilda[/name_f] [name_f]Joanne[/name_f] and [name_u]Asher[/name_u] [name_m]Desmond[/name_m] a lot.
Congratulations on twins !
I think you are an expert namer and I really love your boys names . [name_u]Freddie[/name_u] , [name_u]Charlie[/name_u] and [name_u]Jude[/name_u] are so sweet I can easily see [name_f]Annabel[/name_f] and [name_f]Matilda[/name_f] as sisters
[name_f]Annabel[/name_f] [name_u]Joan[/name_u] and [name_f]Matilda[/name_f] [name_f]Joanne[/name_f] would be my personal choice as I think [name_u]Willow[/name_u] ( although stunning) stands out a bit from your other kids names
I am super in love with [name_u]Asher[/name_u] and [name_m]Isaac[/name_m] as brothers ! Especially twins! And I think they work expertly with [name_u]Freddie[/name_u] [name_u]Charlie[/name_u] and [name_u]Jude[/name_u]
If you are looking for more suggestions I think [name_m]Andrew[/name_m] could honour your Mother in [name_m]Law[/name_m] [name_u]Anne[/name_u] while also supporting the [name_f]British[/name_f] heritage. It could be a stretch but
