Hubby and I have tonnes of girl names we both love equally, but unfortunately aren’t on the same page with boy names. And with our third boy on the way this makes for compromises each time - would be nice to find something that was a favorite for both of us!!
[name_u]Spencer[/name_u] or [name_m]Jasper[/name_m] are currently our front runners; both nice and go well with our last name (sounds similar to [name_f]Samara[/name_f]), but I would love if I can find something less common that I can get my hubby to like.
Examples of names I love are are [name_u]Micah[/name_u], [name_m]Lucien[/name_m], [name_u]Luca[/name_u], [name_m]Leif[/name_m], [name_m]Tavish[/name_m], [name_m]Gabriel[/name_m], [name_m]Phineas[/name_m], Castiel, [name_f]Harlow[/name_f], [name_m]Hurley[/name_m], Jarrah, [name_m]Milo[/name_m], [name_m]Link[/name_m], [name_m]Felix[/name_m], [name_u]Oakley[/name_u].
I tend to lean towards L names or curvy first letters (such as C or S) to go with our last name starting with a curvy letter, though this is not critical by any means.
I would be really grateful of suggestions of unusual names that might still appeal to more conservative taste. Perhaps older Latin/[name_m]Roman[/name_m]/[name_m]French[/name_m] names maybe so they are less common but still ‘traditional’ in a way?
Hmm that’s a tough one. I like [name_m]Jasper[/name_m] and [name_u]Spencer[/name_u] btw.
Here are my suggestions:
[name_m]Marcus[/name_m]
[name_m]Malcolm[/name_m]
[name_u]Tristan[/name_u]
[name_u]Remi[/name_u]
[name_m]Matthias[/name_m]
[name_u]Aurel[/name_u]
[name_m]Aries[/name_m]
[name_u]Blaise[/name_u]
[name_m]Pascal[/name_m]
What are the other boys named?
You might like:
[name_m]Maxence[/name_m]
[name_u]Justice[/name_u]/[name_m]Justus[/name_m]
[name_m]Stellan[/name_m]
[name_m]Callum[/name_m]
[name_m]Dashiell[/name_m]
[name_u]Paxton[/name_u]
I also prefer L & S for boys names how about [name_m]Lazar[/name_m], [name_m]Lander[/name_m], [name_u]Sander[/name_u], [name_m]Casper[/name_m], [name_m]Leander[/name_m], [name_m]Leopold[/name_m], [name_m]Levi[/name_m], [name_u]Sutton[/name_u], Stratton… Tough
[name_m]Jasper[/name_m] & [name_u]Spencer[/name_u] I like!
Thank you all for the input so far! Very grateful.
Hubby likes [name_u]Blaise[/name_u] (but unfortunately I don’t). [name_m]Lander[/name_m] is a good suggestion to be less feminine than the beautiful name [name_m]Leander[/name_m]. [name_m]Cassian[/name_m]/[name_m]Caius[/name_m] I don’t mind. [name_m]Aries[/name_m] I love - though I wonder about it being a starsign and mismatched with his birthday?
[name_u]Remi[/name_u] we both love. Unfortunately we hadn’t discovered the name [name_u]Remy[/name_u] until years after our firstborn was conservatively named [name_m]Jeremy[/name_m] - and sadly he won’t allow me to shorten his name to the beautiful nickname [name_u]Remy[/name_u]!! He threatens to lick me if I do Though his conservative name suits his mostly overly-sensitive but caring nature! [name_m]Lucius[/name_m] is our second born. Unfortunately a very mismatched sibset, but if hubby also loved any derivative of that name (especially when we don’t agree on many!) then I was just using it regardless! I think [name_m]Phineas[/name_m] would work well to kind of fit the names together, but he just won’t come to that party
[name_m]Sebastian[/name_m], [name_u]Sterling[/name_u], [name_m]Silas[/name_m] I like. Am still not grabbing hubby though! He’s ‘grey’ on whether he likes Tavius. What do others think of Tavius?
