HELP! Younger siblings names for Marguerite, Genevieve and Josephine

Hello! I am new here. [name_f]My[/name_f] name is [name_f]Anastasia[/name_f] and I am married to my husband, [name_m]Andrew[/name_m]. We have a few kids, Marguerite(Maggie)9, Genevieve(Evie)8, and Josephine(Josie)5.

We are expecting twins! (I just found out about the twins, we knew we were expecting) This was a huge surprise pregnancy! [name_f]Maggie[/name_f], is my step daughter, who I’ve adopted, [name_f]Evie[/name_f] is my first born, she was also a surprise. [name_u]Josie[/name_u] we had due do IVF after two years of trying & we could only have a girl. So my husband and I are expecting to have more girls, but we didn’t know we could still get pregnant on our own! So we won’t be sure until the gender reveals!

[name_f]My[/name_f] husband and I cannot agree on a sister(s) name for them.

I want nicknames ending in “ie” to flow with “Maggie, [name_f]Evie[/name_f] & Josie” when I call them but to have their own name.

[name_f]My[/name_f] husband wants all their names to end in “e” and flow with their names. He is usually the one calling for them. [name_f]Every[/name_f] name i have suggested he yells for the girls & puts a new names at the end. He says none of them have flowed.

When [name_f]Evie[/name_f] was born, we started calling her [name_f]Gennie[/name_f], but [name_f]Maggie[/name_f] always called her [name_f]Evie[/name_f] so now she hates being called Gennie/Jennie. I suggested [name_f]Jeanine[/name_f] so we could call her [name_f]Jennie[/name_f]. We both agree it fits what we are looking for BUT! Josie’s name starts with a J and my husband wants them to have their own initials to their name & nicknames.

I feel we well NEVER find a girl(s) name we can agree on. It doesn’t help that we have a HUGE list of nieces names we cannot use.

I’m hoping we’ll have an easier time finding a boys name to match.

We cannot use - [name_m]Matthew[/name_m], [name_m]Evander[/name_m], [name_m]Nicholas[/name_m] or [name_m]Nathan[/name_m], as those are my nephews names. [name_f]Adrianna[/name_f], [name_u]Lauren[/name_u], [name_u]Tristan[/name_u], [name_f]Davina[/name_f], [name_f]Alicia[/name_f], [name_f]Julianna[/name_f], [name_f]Cassandra[/name_f], [name_f]Gabriella[/name_f], and [name_f]Madeleine[/name_f] as these are some of our nieces names.

PLEASE HELP!

you could also use [name_f]Gennie[/name_f] as a nickname for Imogen/Imogene or for [name_f]Virginia[/name_f] [or Ginny/ie]

[name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] → “Ellie” “Lizzie” [or with [name_f]Elisabeth[/name_f], “Lissie”]
[name_f]Lillian[/name_f] → “Lillie”
[name_u]Florence[/name_u] → “Florrie” “Flossie”
Adelaide/Adeline → “Addie”

I wonder, too, if your girls might have some suggestions. If the girls I babysit (ages 10, 7, and 3) are any indication (they love names, and they had the most creative ideas for their baby sister—down to choosing her middle name!!), your girls could have some brilliant ideas you hadn’t thought of. A fun idea to check. :smiling_face_with_three_hearts:

You could do [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f] (Lottie) and [name_f]Leonore[/name_f] (Leonie)

Just off top of head - and any repeats of others an endorsement - I would go:

Florence “Flossie”
Clementine “Clemmy” or “Minnie”
Adelaide “Daisy”
Constance “Connie”
Francine “Francy”/“Franny”
Cecily - not an e ending but very sweet with your other names - “Ceci”, “Sassy”
Lucette “Lucy”
Charlotte “Lottie”
Imogene “Immy”

I also would try to get all with different first letter!

Boys that match:

Darcy
Rupert
Felix
Hugo
Thomas
Edmund “Teddy”
George
Sebastian
Louis
Archie
Frederick “Freddie”
Christopher “Kit”
William
Arthur
Simon
Harrison/Harry
August

[name_f]Marguerite[/name_f], [name_f]Genevieve[/name_f], [name_f]Josephine[/name_f]

[name_f]Vivienne[/name_f] “Vivy”
[name_f]Katherine[/name_f] “Katie or Kitty”
[name_f]Adelaide[/name_f] “Aidy”
[name_f]Charlotte[/name_f] “Charlie or Lottie”
[name_f]Lillianne[/name_f] “Lilli”
Anne-Marie “Annie”
[name_f]Penelope[/name_f] “Penny”
[name_f]Rosalie[/name_f] “Rosy”
[name_f]Annalise[/name_f] “Lyssy”
[name_u]Cadence[/name_u] “Cady”
[name_f]Emmaline[/name_f] “Emmy”

[name_m]Theodore[/name_m] “Teddy”
[name_m]Christopher[/name_m] “Kit”
[name_m]Alexander[/name_m] “Alex”
[name_u]Christian[/name_u] “Chrissy”
[name_m]Jonathan[/name_m] “John-o aka Jono”
[name_u]William[/name_u] “Will or Liam”
[name_u]Benjamin[/name_u] “Benny”

[name_u]Callahan[/name_u] “Cal”
[name_u]Thaddeus[/name_u] “Tad”
[name_m]Dashiell[/name_m] “Dash”

Congrats on your new additions!

I notice the older girls all have a three-syllable name with a long E sound at the end: -eet, -eev, -een. I know this adds to the complexity, but it would be fun if you did love any name that continued the pattern. Totally not necessary, but possibly fun. Possibly.

[name_f]Marguerite[/name_f], [name_f]Genevieve[/name_f], [name_f]Josephine[/name_f], and
