Help!

We are having trouble with our name lists. Would love opinions on these names and suggestions of some other names we might list. Though we love all the names on our list, it feels like there is a perfect name out there we just haven’t discovered yet!

Boys:
[name]Caspian[/name]/ [name]Caspar[/name]
[name]Benjamin[/name]
[name]Theodore[/name]/ [name]Theo[/name]
[name]Atlas[/name]
[name]Jett[/name]
[name]Klaus[/name] (prn klowse)
[name]Ptolemy[/name]

Girls:
[name]Saskia[/name]
[name]Dahlia[/name]
[name]Calypso[/name]
[name]Lola[/name] /(as a nickname for??)
[name]Sari[/name] /(as a nickname for??)

We have similar taste - every single one of your boys’ names is either on my list, or a name which almost made it. And I’m excited to see that someone else loves [name]Klaus[/name]! Two of your girls’ names have been on my list, too (in fact, one still is - [name]Calypso[/name]).

I’ll reply with more detailed comments, and some more suggestions, soon (sorry, I only have a moment right now), but just to address the nicknames:

[name]Lola[/name] - [name]Paloma[/name], [name]Penelope[/name], [name]Louise[/name]/a, [name]Eloise[/name], [name]Lourdes[/name] (too [name]Madonna[/name]?), [name]Dolores[/name], [name]Elodie[/name], [name]Loretta[/name], [name]Lorelai[/name], [name]Lorna[/name], [name]Heloise[/name], [name]Salome[/name] ([name]SAL[/name]-oh-may).

[name]Sari[/name] - [name]Sarah[/name], [name]Sariah[/name], [name]Rosaria[/name]/o, [name]Seraphina[/name], [name]Sabrina[/name], Saira, Saranna, Sarala, [name]Sarika[/name], [name]Sarita[/name] or, if you’re very brave, Salvatrice/Salvatrix.

[name]Auburn[/name]

[name]Caspian[/name]/ [name]Caspar[/name] - I like [name]Caspian[/name], it’s spunky, interesting and unusual. [name]Caspar[/name] is okay, I prefer [name]Jasper[/name] (although [name]Caspar[/name] is a safer option if you want an uncommon name, that your child won’t have to share)
[name]Benjamin[/name] - I like [name]Benjamin[/name], though it is very popular (I’m not sure whether that bothers you) and I’m not crazy about the inevitable nickname, [name]Ben[/name].
[name]Theodore[/name]/ [name]Theo[/name] - I love [name]Theodore[/name]! He is handsome, intelligent and gentle, and the nicknames [name]Theo[/name] & [name]Teddy[/name] are both lovely!
[name]Atlas[/name] - [name]Atlas[/name] is quite nice, I don’t love it, but would be charmed to hear it on someone else’s child.
[name]Jett[/name] - [name]Jett[/name] seems out of place here. To me, it is certainly not a charming, classic or intellectual name. It feels very downmarket and trashy.
[name]Klaus[/name] (prn klowse) - I really like [name]Klaus[/name], although unfortunately some people think the Nazi associations are too strong.
[name]Ptolemy[/name] - I don’t mind it, as a middle name.

Girls:
[name]Saskia[/name] - I really like [name]Saskia[/name]! It is bold, interesting and very pretty, without being overly frilly.
[name]Dahlia[/name] - I don’t mind it. Nameberry doesn’t think so, but to me it sounds the slightest bit downmarket, although not as much as [name]Jett[/name]. I much prefer other flower names, Alternatively: [name]Delilah[/name]
[name]Calypso[/name] - Similar to my feelings about [name]Dahlia[/name], although I do prefer [name]Calypso[/name]. Alternatively: [name]Calliope[/name], [name]Cleo[/name]
[name]Lola[/name] /(as a nickname for??) - I love [name]Eloise[/name] nn [name]Lola[/name]!
[name]Sari[/name] /(as a nickname for??) - I think the most natural root is via [name]Sariah[/name], though I’m not keen on either.

Other suggestions:
[name]Atticus[/name], [name]Sebastian[/name], [name]Cosmo[/name], [name]Soren[/name], [name]Jesper[/name], [name]Fabian[/name], [name]Felix[/name], [name]Aquila[/name], [name]Dominic[/name], [name]Leander[/name], [name]Adair[/name], [name]Basil[/name], [name]Ezra[/name], [name]August[/name], [name]Pluto[/name], [name]Ignatius[/name], [name]Curtis[/name]/[name]Kurt[/name], [name]Bartholomew[/name], [name]Cato[/name], [name]Ulysses[/name], [name]Pascoe[/name], [name]Auden[/name], [name]Barnaby[/name], [name]Lyle[/name], [name]Willoughby[/name], [name]Bartleby[/name], [name]Rafferty[/name], [name]Leopold[/name], [name]Violet[/name]/[name]Viola[/name], [name]Luna[/name], [name]Daphne[/name], [name]Flavia[/name], [name]Celeste[/name], [name]Hermione[/name], [name]Lyra[/name], [name]Ophelia[/name], [name]Isadora[/name], [name]Persephone[/name], [name]Isolde[/name], [name]Cosima[/name], [name]Octavia[/name], Cl”oph”e, [name]Romilly[/name], [name]Juniper[/name]/[name]Juno[/name], [name]Ottilie[/name], [name]Primrose[/name], [name]India[/name], [name]Coralie[/name], [name]Cordelia[/name]/[name]Cora[/name]/[name]Delia[/name]

Good luck!

Boys:
[name]Caspian[/name]/ [name]Caspar[/name] - Okay I adore [name]Caspian[/name] and if my husban had liked it I would use it is a second. [name]Caspar[/name] isn’t my favorite but it is still a good name.
[name]Benjamin[/name] - I adore this strong but sweet name. [name]Ben[/name] is one of the best nicknames out there [name]IMO[/name].
[name]Theodore[/name]/ [name]Theo[/name] - This is nms, but it is a great name and I know it is pretty popular on Nameberry. In [name]England[/name] I know that sometimes [name]Theo[/name] is used as a full name.
[name]Atlas[/name] - Again, nms but it is a strong name and you can’t go wrong with it.
[name]Jett[/name] - nms and it doesn’t seem to really match with your other choices.
[name]Klaus[/name] (prn klowse) - At first I thought that this was pronounced like Clause but I do like the [name]Klaus[/name] pronounciation. I like [name]Caspian[/name] and [name]Benjamin[/name] better though.
[name]Ptolemy[/name] - I would use this name in a heart beat if my husband wasn’t obsessed with pronounciation being easy. Great name choiced for boys! I love [name]Caspian[/name], [name]Benjamin[/name] and [name]Ptolemy[/name] best.

Girls:
[name]Saskia[/name] - [name]How[/name] is this pronounced? I have seen it around Nameberry so it must be a good name.
[name]Dahlia[/name] - I do like this name and feel it matches your boys names the best.
[name]Calypso[/name] - Not a fan, but it does have a musical feeling to it.
[name]Lola[/name] /(as a nickname for??) - What about Lorele, [name]Laura[/name], [name]Lauren[/name], or even [name]Delores[/name] which is what it was short for to begin with?
[name]Sari[/name] /(as a nickname for??) - [name]Sarice[/name], [name]Sarah[/name], [name]Sarina[/name], [name]Sarilia[/name], Sariyah. [name]Sari[/name] feels like it could be a name on its own though. Very cute!
My favorites are [name]Dehlia[/name] and [name]Sari[/name].

[name]Auburn[/name]- It’s great we have similar taste! It’s reassuring to know that I’m not the only one who likes these names!
Sinse our tastes are so similar I’d love to hear what other names you are considering! We are particularly hoping to find some new girls names, but all suggestions are really appriciated!

Of your suggestions I really like
[name]Lola[/name]- [name]Penelope[/name], [name]Louisa[/name] (but this is the name of dh’s cousin so might not be able to use it), [name]Eloise[/name], [name]Elodie[/name]
[name]Sari[/name]- [name]Sarah[/name] (dh thinks it’s too “boring”), [name]Rosaria[/name], Saira, Sarala

araminta - A lot of your suggestions are names which we have previously considered!
I really like, [name]Atticus[/name], [name]Felix[/name], [name]Aquila[/name], [name]Leander[/name] (really like this one!), [name]Adair[/name] (how is this pronounced??), [name]Basil[/name], [name]Kurt[/name], [name]Cato[/name], [name]Lyra[/name], [name]Octavia[/name], Ottillie and [name]Coralie[/name]
