I think we have our name, but I’m still wavering so much. Right now I think it’s going to be [name]Katherine[/name] [name]Diane[/name] Ratino, but we’ll call her [name]Kate[/name]. [name]Diane[/name] is a family name that I definitely want to use as the middle name. Any last minute ideas for a first name? I’m not a terribly “unique” person when it comes to names, but feel like I’m settling too soon.

I think if you’re uncertain, than a classic like [name]Katherine[/name] is a great way to go. Since you didn’t post anything about any other preferred names or styles its difficult to give suggestions, especially since you said you’re not choosing [name]Diane[/name] because you like it but because its a family name.
Can you list a few other names you like or don’t like, or at least a style? I’m sure you can find a name you love with a little bit of looking!

I’ve actually grown to appreciate the name [name]Katherine[/name] and [name]Katherine[/name] [name]Diane[/name] is lovely! As a side note, I actually tried to talk my aunt out of naming her daughter [name]Kathryn[/name] [name]Lee[/name] when she was born 5 years ago. I love [name]Katherine[/name]'s elegance but the nn [name]Katie[/name] is a bit plain for my taste. At the time, I wanted her to be named [name]Claire[/name] or [name]Cora[/name]. Anyways, now that she’s here and it suits her perfectly. So, go with your gut and forget the rest! Good luck!
I would suggest [name]Caroline[/name] or [name]Charlotte[/name] instead… just a little different/less common.
