I’m pregnant with twin boys and am trying to come up with a sibling set, which has been harder than I anticipated. My husband likes more popular names that sound “all boy”, whereas I lean toward classic and sometimes different names. Has anyone else been in this situation? How did you resolve it?
Please tell us your favorite from my picks and my husband’s! Suggestions would be most appreciated!
My picks:
[name]Hugo[/name] and [name]Marius[/name]
Ronan and Rhys
Peter and Quinn
Theodore (Teddy) and Nicholas
My husband’s picks:
[name]Kyle[/name] and [name]Connor[/name]
[name]Landon[/name] and [name]Carter[/name]
[name]Mitchell[/name] and [name]Chandler[/name]
[name]Hunter[/name] and [name]Chase[/name]
What about you pick one and he picks one and you try to find a set that works well together.
[name]Peter[/name] and [name]Landon[/name]
[name]Peter[/name] and [name]Mitchell[/name]
[name]Hugo[/name] and [name]Landon[/name]
[name]Hugo[/name] and [name]Hunter[/name]
[name]Quinn[/name] and [name]Hunter[/name]
[name]Theodore[/name] and [name]Landon[/name]
[name]Nicholas[/name] and [name]Mitchell[/name]
[name]Rhys[/name] and [name]Chase[/name]
[name]Peter[/name] and [name]Carter[/name]
[name]Theodore[/name] & [name]Nicholas[/name] would be my favourite of yours, followed by [name]Landon[/name] & [name]Carter[/name] from your husbands. He appears to like very trendy names, while yours are more classic.
What about [name]Ronan[/name] & [name]Connor[/name] - both lovely Irish name? [name]Rhys[/name] & [name]Connor[/name] would work too.
[name]Hugo[/name] and [name]Marius[/name]! I love this combo and all of your other combos. Your husband might need a little bit more help though. From his list the best is [name]Landon[/name] and [name]Carter[/name] but I really don’t like any of his choices.
From your list I like:
[name]Ronan[/name]
[name]Rhys[/name]
[name]Theodore[/name]
(I really want to like [name]Marius[/name], since I love [name]Lucius[/name], [name]Caius[/name], [name]Darius[/name] and tons of other …us names, but this one sounds too feminine and doesn’t have a particularly good/interesting meaning either)
From his I like:
[name]Connor[/name] (though it’s too common for my taste and has kind of a strange meaning for a name, if you ask me)
and could probably be convinced to like [name]Mitchell[/name]
[name]Rhys[/name] and [name]Connor[/name]
[name]Ronan[/name] and [name]Connor[/name]
[name]Rhys[/name] and [name]Ronan[/name]
[name]Theodore[/name] and [name]Mitchell[/name]
I second these suggestions above! I love [name]Hugo[/name]… let’s see if I can work it into some new combos…
[name]Hugo[/name] & [name]Finn[/name]
[name]Hugo[/name] & [name]Luke[/name]
[name]Hugo[/name] & [name]Dex[/name]
[name]Hugo[/name] & [name]Archer[/name]
[name]Hugo[/name] & [name]Maxen[/name]
[name]Hugo[/name] & [name]Conan[/name]
I don’t care for:
[name]Peter[/name] and [name]Quinn[/name] - I actually really like [name]Quinn[/name], but can’t stand [name]Peter[/name]. I have a hard time taking [name]Peter[/name] seriously, thanks to the association with male genitalia. It also seems common and boring compared to the other names you like.
[name]Theodore[/name] ([name]Teddy[/name]) and [name]Nicholas[/name] - I like [name]Theodore[/name], but don’t care for [name]Nicholas[/name].
His that I like:
I like [name]Connor[/name] and [name]Hunter[/name] together, but none of the others.
I feel for you. Your DH has pretty bad taste in names. I would try and pick unique but fairly normal names and throw them in front of him. There’s a way to be normal and not trendy so I’d just try to find a happy-medium name.
