Contemplating using [name]Reese[/name] for our 2nd daughter due in 3 weeks, our first daughter is [name]Riley[/name] so we wanted something similar…but having the last minute “i dont know” thoughts. What does everyone else think?
I think [name]Reese[/name] is very close to [name]Riley[/name]. You need to think about whether you’ll have a third child and if you want to go with the R name theme or not. [name]Riley[/name] and [name]Reese[/name] do sound quite cute, but they are very matchy.
Very cutsey but they do sound okay they start with the same initial but sound quite different.
Have you considered [name]Addison[/name], [name]Peyton[/name] or [name]Ashlyn[/name]?
Think we have decided to stop at 2 kids!
We have friends with an [name]Addison[/name] and I know a lady [name]Ashlyn[/name] that isnt very nice! lol [name]Peyton[/name] is nice but would prefer [name]Reese[/name] over that name, thanks for the suggestions!
I’d keep looking. [name]Riley[/name] and [name]Reese[/name] are too matchy for me.
[name]Even[/name] though these names start with the same letter they do not rhyme nor do they have the same number of syllables. I think they sound fine. I once knew a girl named [name]Risa[/name] which I always thought was beautiful.
I love [name]Reese[/name] and [name]Riley[/name] together! [name]Christie[/name] Rampone (US soccer player) actually has daughters name [name]Reese[/name] and [name]Riley[/name], although she used the [name]Reece[/name] and [name]Rylie[/name] spellings.
[name]Both[/name] names do start with R, but they have different sounds so I think it works fine.
I agree that [name]Reese[/name] and [name]Riley[/name] go well together even though they both start with R. Good luck!
I like the sound of those names together. It makes me think of [name]Reese[/name] Witherspoon who I like as far as acting and her looks.
Thanks girls!
I think these go really nicely together! If you do end up having more you can trouble shoot the pattern problems then. I think if you have another girl you could either give her another R name that’s more feminine or give her another unisexish name that starts with another letter. Maybe there’s more uni-ish names with R that could work ([name]Robin[/name]?). If you have a boy I think it matters less stick with a pattern anyway.
Somehow [name]Carys[/name] is coming to mind as an alternate suggestion. Maybe also [name]Paige[/name]. [name]Bryce[/name]? But [name]Reese[/name] is good here - if it’s your fave don’t overthink the normal double-checking.
