My Godson’s mother is pregnant and looking for a name if the baby is a girl. They already have a boy’s name picked out, and she asked me for girl suggestions. I was hoping you berries could help me put together a list for her. Older brothers are [name]Chandler[/name] [name]Wade[/name] and [name]Quinton[/name] [name]Theodore[/name] (twins), [name]Kolby[/name] [name]John[/name], and [name]Xavier[/name] [name]Stone[/name] (my Godson). Thanks in advance!
Bumping this back up. Suggestions please!
Hmm, generally contemporary first names. [name]Do[/name] you know if she prefers feminine or more unisex names on a girl? Something girly or more rough-and-tumble? I’d personally get in a dose of femininity, but make sure the name has plenty of spunk and isn’t too frilly!
[name]Chandler[/name], [name]Quinton[/name], [name]Kolby[/name], [name]Xavier[/name] and…
[name]Eliza[/name], [name]Elena[/name], or [name]Elyse[/name]

Out of [name]Chandler[/name], [name]Quinton[/name], [name]Kolby[/name] and [name]Xavier[/name] I found little similarities except for [name]Chandler[/name] being french for Candle maker and [name]Xavier[/name] meaning bright. I then started looking for girl names meaning light, bright, shining, star, etc that could tie well into her siblings names.
[name]Leora[/name] -not overly popular just like her sibling’s names. Meaning ‘light’
[name]Ayla[/name] - Meaning ‘Halo, moonlight’
[name]Lucille[/name] - French name like [name]Chandler[/name]. Meaning ‘light’
[name]Lucy[/name] - English name like [name]Kolby[/name] and [name]Quentin[/name]. Meaning ‘light’
[name]Clarence[/name] - Meaning ‘bright’
[name]Claire[/name] - French name meaning ‘bright, clear’
[name]Norabel[/name] - English name meaning ‘beautiful light’ (nm [name]Nora[/name], [name]Bel[/name])
Names meaning ‘bright shining one’
[name]Alena[/name]
[name]Elena[/name]
[name]Laney[/name]
[name]Ellen[/name]
[name]Estelle[/name] - French name meaning ‘star’
[name]Solana[/name] - Spanish name meaning ‘sunshine’
[name]Lenore[/name]
[name]Enya[/name] - Irish name meaning ‘fire’
Some suggestions to go with [name]Chandler[/name], [name]Quinton[/name], [name]Kolby[/name] & [name]Xavier[/name].

Good luck!
[name]Chandler[/name], [name]Quentin[/name], [name]Kolby[/name], [name]Xavier[/name], and…
[name]Stella[/name]!
That’s the first name that popped into my head, and I see that a pp suggested [name]Estelle[/name], which is similar.
Friends of mine who had 4 boys and a girl, named their daughter [name]Zoe[/name]. It means “life” and she needs lots of spunk, & spirit to hold her own with her brothers (which she does, no problem). So, in that vein, names that mean life or spirit:
[name]Zoe[/name]
[name]Vivian[/name]
[name]Eva[/name] / [name]Eve[/name]
[name]Blythe[/name] (means “free spirit”)
[name]Chloe[/name] (means green shoot; i.e. new life)
Hmm, I would say more feminine for her. She’s been waiting so long for a girl and she’s really hoping this baby is one. She had a miscarriage last year, and if that baby had been a girl, she was going to be named [name]Estrella[/name] (her husband is Puerto Rican). At the time, the name had to at least “sound Spanish” according to her mother-in-law but that’s not a rule anymore. Her previous favorite name was [name]Emilia[/name] (her mother’s middle name) but for various reasons, that’s out now.
From your list, I think [name]Elena[/name] is my favorite for her. I will also suggest [name]Eliza[/name], [name]Aria[/name], and [name]Talia[/name]. Thanks for your help!
[name]How[/name] about [name]Cecelia[/name] nn CeeCee?
Thank you to everyone who helped! Here’s the full list I’m going to suggest so far:
[name]Elena[/name]/[name]Alena[/name]
[name]Eliza[/name]
[name]Talia[/name]
[name]Aria[/name]
[name]Juliet[/name]
[name]Eva[/name]
[name]Zoe[/name]
[name]Lucy[/name]
lilysong: [name]Stella[/name] was also my first though! But I wonder if it’s too close to [name]Estrella[/name]. I’ll give it a try though.
I’ll post back after I talk to her about these names.
I’ll ask her about [name]Cecelia[/name] too! Thanks!
I finally spoke to my Godson’s mother, but only briefly. She said she liked a lot of the names I gave her, but when I asked which ones, she only mentioned two. She said she loves [name]Juliet[/name] and it is on her list, and she likes [name]Cecelia[/name]. Any further suggestions based on those two? I don’t know the other names on her list; maybe I will find out when I see her this weekend!
