Help!

So DH is being a picky butthead and i’m just stubborn as hell when it comes to my boys names. He’s apparently narrowed it down to [name_u]Murphy[/name_u] (which the consensus seems to be sounds like a dogs name) and [name_m]Ronan[/name_m] (which makes us sound very Kardashian because we have 2 other R children) I like both names but am not 100% sold on either. We’re still not due to Late [name_u]November[/name_u] early [name_u]December[/name_u] but could definitely use some help! The hardest part is our styles. I feel like everything I’ve suggested thus far has been vetoed for being too trendy or “popular”. Where as everything he likes is very heavy gaelic, scottish, irish, and celtic names, that though are quite awesome don’t really hold well in [name_u]America[/name_u]. We’re looking for under used, not completely out there, preferably not in the top 500 names. Could be classic and old fashioned. Nothing made up or miss spelled please. This will be our First together and last child (as we have 3 already).

Siblings : [name_u]Ruby[/name_u], [name_m]Russell[/name_m], and [name_f]Ellen[/name_f].

Doesn’t have to completely “fit” with the sibset would like a name that doesn’t stick out like a sore thumb.

Vetoed names we’ve considered:

[name_m]Lachlan[/name_m]
[name_m]Cormac[/name_m] “[name_m]Mac[/name_m]”
[name_m]Felix[/name_m]
[name_m]Teague[/name_m]
[name_u]Jude[/name_u]
[name_m]Atticus[/name_m]
[name_u]Arlo[/name_u]
[name_m]McCoy[/name_m] “[name_m]Mac[/name_m]”
[name_u]Blaine[/name_u]
[name_m]Valor[/name_m]
[name_m]Wes[/name_m]

Last name starts with a W is 3 syllables and very English
Middle name either [name_m]Henry[/name_m] or [name_u]James[/name_u]

Thank you in advanced for your help!

[name_m]How[/name_m] about

[name_m]Clark[/name_m]
[name_m]Byron[/name_m]
[name_m]Quentin[/name_m]
[name_m]Clifton[/name_m]
[name_u]Hudson[/name_u]
[name_m]Forester[/name_m] or [name_m]Forrest[/name_m]
[name_u]Mercer[/name_u]
[name_u]Gale[/name_u]
[name_m]Stewart[/name_m]
[name_u]Tyson[/name_u]
[name_m]Simon[/name_m]
[name_m]Clayton[/name_m]
[name_m]Kenneth[/name_m]

First name that comes to mind is [name_m]Warren[/name_m]. It has the R’s to connect it to [name_u]Ruby[/name_u] and [name_m]Russell[/name_m], but since they’re in the middle spot it doesn’t look too “Kardashian”, and the flow of the name is similar to [name_f]Ellen[/name_f].

Some other ideas:
[name_u]Keegan[/name_u]/[name_u]Keagan[/name_u]
[name_u]Kiernan[/name_u]
[name_u]Kieran[/name_u]
[name_m]Bryant[/name_m]
[name_u]Finley[/name_u]
[name_u]Brennan[/name_u]
[name_m]Noam[/name_m]
[name_m]Lewis[/name_m]
[name_m]Cedric[/name_m]
[name_m]Conan[/name_m]
[name_m]Seamus[/name_m]

I agree that you probably don’t want another R name… [name_f]Ellen[/name_f] may feel left out. I like the previous suggestion of [name_m]Warren[/name_m]! Or how about . …

[name_m]Declan[/name_m]
[name_u]Keagan[/name_u]
[name_u]Tiernan[/name_u]
[name_m]Scott[/name_m]
[name_u]Blaine[/name_u]

[name_m]How[/name_m] about [name_m]Connor[/name_m]? It has Irish roots but is easily pronounceable in English.
If not, maybe [name_u]Owen[/name_u], [name_u]Brennan[/name_u] or [name_m]Griffin[/name_m] - not Irish but they all have Celtic roots so have a similar feel, which your husband might like.
I also second PP’s suggestions of [name_u]Kieran[/name_u] and [name_m]Declan[/name_m] for the same reasons.
