Hello! I’m [name_u]Jess[/name_u] and I’m new here, I came to ask for help for my friend. She did a thread here before (or maybe more, I’m not sure) about changing her name and having a bit of trouble picking. After talking to you guys and gathering your opinions, she picked [name_f]Zoe[/name_f], but now, two months later, she’s unsure if that’s really it and the reason why I’m doing it this time is because she doesn’t wanna bother anyone with it again, but that doesn’t mean I can’t ask.
She’s stuck between three names: [name_f]Anya[/name_f], [name_f]Zoe[/name_f] and [name_f]Sophie[/name_f]. And she says she’s always open to suggestions (which is why I think she always ends up confused but that’s not my call) and, on her thread, she did a pretty good description of herself but I throught I’d describe her from my point of view and maybe you guus could give your vote. She’s the kind of person who needs other people’s assurance on her decisions, so here’s one thing about her to keep in mind. I have my own favourite between the three, which is [name_f]Sophie[/name_f], and I think she could make [name_f]Zoe[/name_f] work as a nickname if she tries enough. It has been one of her favourites for years and she always ignored it because it’s kind of common on people around out age, as opposed to the other two but she keeps coming back to it.
The reason why I think [name_f]Sophie[/name_f] fits her so much is because of the [name_f]Sophie[/name_f] in Mamma [name_f]Mia[/name_f], if you ever saw the movie, she’s a lot like her, if you’ve never seen it, she’s very energetic, kind, sweet, a big dreamer, very close to her family, loves children and animals, huge disney fan, loves nature and sunsets over the ocean and watching stars and all that kind of thing (that I have zero patience for tbh but that’s when she’s most at peace, I’ve noticed). She’s very headstrong, once she puts her mind to something there is nothing that can make her change it (it’s amazing and awful at the same time) and she’s extremely smart. Book smart, socially smart, emotionally smart and very funny too, we met when we were four because I was crying for my mom in daycare and she kept me company and played with me until I felt okay, 17 years has passed and she’s still the same little girl who likes to help others, which is one of the things that I believe make me love being her friend so much. She’s an artist too, she’s an actress and she plays instruments, paints, takes some beautiful photographs and sings, but is very modest about that even though she wanta to pursue a carreer in acting. Her personality is very endearing and magnetic, people enjoy being around her and she’s like “the light and joy in the room” even though she’s kind of shy and very insecure. She’s very sensitive too, she calls herself an easy-crier (and it’s not a lie) and I think it’s because her heart is literally on her sleeve and she kind of feels everything too strongly (and she has an anxiety disorder too, it can get quite messy but she learned to manage) so she can be the happiest person in the world in a second and then extremely angry and upset because of a small thing seconds after, and it’ll work the other way around too.
I’m not sure if I should post this on the writer’s corner because it’s not a character but also not a baby name thing, so I hope I’m not making a mess in the forum! I appreciate the help, I know she will too. Thanks!
