HELPPP PLZ... Isabel vs Emilie

My husband and I are STUCK. I am looking for a name for our baby girl that is easily recognizable, classic and timeless but just a tad different. Isabel is a less popular sister to the super popular Isabella but is it too ethnic/ Spanish leaning to be considered mainstream? Emily is a classic name and the spelling Emilie seems to jazz it up a bit, but does that spelling make the pronunciation confusing? Both would be paired with the middle name Rose… Isabel Rose vs Emilie Rose. Any opinions on which best fits the classic (but slightly different) vibe or which you like best would be appreciated!!

I prefer Isabel over Emily, but definitely over Emilie (I don’t like the -ie spelling at all, sorry).

It’s still a nice name, I’d just go with the classic spelling over Emilie.

Isabel Rose is a lovely name, if a little common these days.

[name_f]Isabel[/name_f] [name_f]Rose[/name_f] for me is more interesting than [name_f]Emilie[/name_f]. I also want to pronounce [name_f]Emilie[/name_f] as Emil-eye not Emil-ee (for this reason I would stick to the [name_f]Emily[/name_f] spelling). Both are lovely options anyway, so you can’t go wrong.

Isabel Rose is lovely and no, I don’t think it’s too Spanish to use. Another option for you spelling-wise though is Isobel, which is the Scottish version. It’s my personal favourite and I like that it sets it apart just a little from all of the Isabels/Isabelles/Isabellas.

[name_f]Isabel[/name_f] [name_f]Rose[/name_f] is gorgeous!

I really love [name_f]Isabel[/name_f] and do not find the name to ‘ethnic’ to be considered mainstream she is a relatively common classic and is very universal choice. If you are concerned you could use [name_f]Isobel[/name_f] [name_f]Rose[/name_f] which is a Scottish variant

I also would choose [name_f]Isabel[/name_f] [name_f]Rose[/name_f]! I don’t feel like it’s too ethnic. I like the sound of [name_f]Emilie[/name_f] [name_f]Rose[/name_f] too, but the spelling would make it harder for people. I usually like different spellings for names, but this one reminds me of [name_m]Emile[/name_m] [name_m]Hirsch[/name_m] the actor. So that’s how I pronounced it. Lol. So I really do like the sound of both names with [name_f]Rose[/name_f], but just for spelling and pronunciation, I’d say [name_f]Isabel[/name_f].

I prefer [name_f]Isabel[/name_f]. I think Emily/Emilie is kinda outdated. [name_f]Isabel[/name_f] [name_f]Rose[/name_f] is very gentle and elegant.

Both lovely names, but both ultra mainstream and safe.

Maybe [name_f]Isolde[/name_f] or [name_f]Isadora[/name_f]?

[name_f]Elodie[/name_f] or [name_f]Emmeline[/name_f]?

[name_f]Isabel[/name_f] [name_f]Rose[/name_f] is beautiful and classic! [name_f]Emilie[/name_f] is cute too, but I much prefer the romantic [name_f]Isabel[/name_f].

I prefer EMILY (this spelling) over [name_f]Isabel[/name_f], but i prefer [name_f]Isabel[/name_f] over EMILIE (this spelling).

[name_f]Isabel[/name_f] [name_f]Rose[/name_f] would be tied with [name_f]Emily[/name_f] [name_f]Rose[/name_f] but I’m not a big fan of [name_f]Emilie[/name_f] though the pronunciation isn’t confusing. So I choose [name_f]Isabel[/name_f] [name_f]Rose[/name_f]. What about [name_f]Eliza[/name_f] [name_f]Rose[/name_f], [name_f]Lucia[/name_f] [name_f]Rose[/name_f], [name_f]Genevieve[/name_f] [name_f]Rose[/name_f], [name_f]Molly[/name_f] [name_f]Rose[/name_f], [name_f]Clara[/name_f] [name_f]Rose[/name_f], [name_f]Isla[/name_f] [name_f]Rose[/name_f], [name_f]Ivy[/name_f] [name_f]Rose[/name_f], [name_f]Julia[/name_f] [name_f]Rose[/name_f] or [name_f]Madeleine[/name_f] [name_f]Rose[/name_f]?
