Henry or Brooks?

We think we have decided on the name [name_u]Henry[/name_u] [name_u]Brooks[/name_u], but now I’m questioning if [name_u]Brooks[/name_u] should be the first name (with something else in the middle). Both are honor names. Which do you prefer?

[name_u]Brooks[/name_u] [name_u]Henry[/name_u] would be my preference but I like [name_u]Henry[/name_u] [name_u]Brooks[/name_u] too!

I’d say you have to decide:

  • do you want a name with a more modern, ‘cool’ vibe? (Brooks)
  • do you want something more classic and sturdy and timeless? (Henry)
  • do you want something less popular? (Brooks)
  • do you want something more established, easy to wear and spell, something very versatile? (Henry)

I love both [name_u]Brooks[/name_u] [name_u]Henry[/name_u] and [name_u]Henry[/name_u] [name_u]Brooks[/name_u]. I have a soft spot for both names, but I think I lean a little more towards [name_u]Brooks[/name_u]. You truly cannot go wrong with either!

I have a real soft spot for [name_u]Henry[/name_u] :lemon:

However [name_u]Brooks[/name_u] is also gorgeous and I do really like him I love how outdoorsy, fashionable, calming and fun choice. [name_u]Brooks[/name_u] is fabulous! I think [name_u]Brooks[/name_u] [name_u]Henry[/name_u] is so cool with this fun cowboy vibe gorgeous name.

[name_u]Henry[/name_u] is way too common, and I don’t like the [name_f]Hen[/name_f] part (very…chickenly). [name_u]Brooks[/name_u] is amazing!

I know someone with the name, so Henry Brooks just sounds more natural to me, likely because of that! I think either sounds great (depending on your last name), so I think you should pick his first name based on which name of the two is your favorite, and that you can see yourself using all day every day :slight_smile: Part of why I chose my daughter’s middle name was because I couldn’t see myself using it to refer to her and call for her in practical situations, so it was the perfect middle :slight_smile:
