I posted earlier about [name_m]Henry[/name_m] “[name_m]Hank[/name_m]” [name_m]Floyd[/name_m] Cook but didn’t ask about the other name. [name_u]Owen[/name_u] [name_m]Floyd[/name_m] Cook. [name_u]Owen[/name_u] probably would wind up as O if he got any nickname associated with his name.
Are we missing any weird word connotations? And please provide your first impressions on both. We need to decide soon.
I love [name_m]Hank[/name_m], but the repeated consonants of [name_m]Hank[/name_m] Cook make it a bit hard to say. [name_m]Henry[/name_m] has never clicked for me, but it’s a great name nonetheless.
I really like both [name_m]Henry[/name_m] [name_m]Floyd[/name_m] and [name_u]Owen[/name_u] [name_m]Floyd[/name_m]. I would say it depends on what direction of styles of names you would like to head in in the future. [name_f]Do[/name_f] you prefer classic or celtic names more?
[name_u]Owen[/name_u] [name_m]Floyd[/name_m] This was such a difficult one, though, and I love [name_m]Henry[/name_m] “[name_m]Hank[/name_m]” almost as much!
[name_u]Owen[/name_u] [name_m]Floyd[/name_m] Cook all the way easiest to say, just rolls of the tongue and sounds handsome and smart, yet not too common.
I would choose [name_m]Henry[/name_m] if it were just about the first names, but I agree with others that if you use the nn [name_m]Hank[/name_m], [name_m]Hank[/name_m] Cook doesn’t work that well. So given that, I’d go with [name_u]Owen[/name_u].
I really like both, I have an [name_u]Owen[/name_u] though, so I must say I’m glad to see a lot of support for him. I didn’t think we’d use a nickname other than O for him, but Owie (oh-wee) seems to be sticking at the moment. I guess you never know!
