Henry, Theo and....

What do you all think of [name_m]Leon[/name_m]?

It means lion, and I am loving it right now…but does it sound too much like [name_u]Theo[/name_u]?

[name_m]Henry[/name_m], [name_u]Theo[/name_u] and [name_m]Leon[/name_m]

I really want it to work!!

I know 2 [name_m]Leons[/name_m], an elderly man and a 4 year old. It was very refreshing meeting a little [name_m]Leon[/name_m]! I don’t think it sounds like [name_u]Theo[/name_u] at all

I guess it depends if he’d get the nn [name_m]Leo[/name_m]. My sister loves [name_m]Leon[/name_m], and wants to name her first son [name_m]Leon[/name_m] nn [name_m]Leo[/name_m]. I think [name_u]Theo[/name_u] and [name_m]Leo[/name_m] are definitely too close; [name_u]Theo[/name_u] and [name_m]Leon[/name_m] is debatable. [name_m]Theodore[/name_m] and [name_m]Leon[/name_m] are perfectly fine, until [name_u]Theo[/name_u] or [name_m]Leo[/name_m], or both, comes into the picture, I think. I think you could make [name_u]Theo[/name_u] and [name_m]Leon[/name_m] work, but, if I met brothers named [name_u]Theo[/name_u] and [name_m]Leon[/name_m], I’d probably think it was a bit matchy. I’ve tried to avoid [name_m]Leo[/name_m] AND [name_u]Theo[/name_u] names as FNs on my list, but [name_u]Theo[/name_u] and [name_m]Leon[/name_m] are definitely great names, so I can see why you’ve come to [name_m]Leon[/name_m]!

I love [name_m]Leon[/name_m]! This may be because of Sir [name_m]Leon[/name_m], a knight of the round table from Arthurian legend I’m familiar with, but still!

I think [name_m]Henry[/name_m], [name_u]Theo[/name_u] and [name_m]Leon[/name_m] is an amazing trio. Yes, there is a shared ‘ee’ sound, but the different first initial and the endings ('o and ‘on’) make it do-able in my mind.

Edited to add that @ashthedreamer is right about [name_u]Theo[/name_u] and [name_m]Leo[/name_m] though - [name_m]Leon[/name_m] would need to stay [name_m]Leon[/name_m], at least within the family dynamic.

I like them together! They look more similar when you write them out than when pronounced, so I dont think its an issue.

[name_u]Theo[/name_u] and [name_m]Leon[/name_m] are all right together unless you go nn [name_m]Leo[/name_m] & [name_u]Theo[/name_u]. [name_m]Leo[/name_m] and [name_u]Teddy[/name_u], however, is adorable and so nice!

I am going to offer an alternative opinion here on [name_u]Theo[/name_u] and [name_m]Leon[/name_m] (nn [name_m]Leo[/name_m]). [name_m]Will[/name_m] your two boys be together so much that people will always be saying their names together? They are independent people, and will probably spend the largest portions of their lives not being connected at the hip. They won’t be kiddies forever being introduced in a pack of 3. [name_m]Even[/name_m] if a few people roll their eyes, so what?

I guess what I am trying to say is if you absolutely love [name_m]Leon[/name_m] and it is perfect, do not let a sibling’s name detract. If this is the name that feels right, go with it.

I keep thinking [name_m]Henry[/name_m], [name_u]Theo[/name_u], and [name_m]Oliver[/name_m].

I love both theo and leon, but not together. [name_m]How[/name_m] about:

[name_m]Levi[/name_m]
[name_m]Luke[/name_m]/[name_u]Luca[/name_u]
[name_m]Lucian[/name_m]/[name_m]Lucien[/name_m]

or

[name_m]Hugh[/name_m]
august ([name_u]Gus[/name_u])
roman
[name_m]Sebastian[/name_m]
[name_m]Arthur[/name_m]
miles
felix
wyatt
jude

[name_u]Love[/name_u] [name_u]Gus[/name_u]! I appreciate and agree with all the oppinions. I plan to keep [name_m]Leon[/name_m] and not [name_m]Leo[/name_m] within the family…and pp is right, they will spend their adult years separately. [name_u]Love[/name_u] [name_m]Oliver[/name_m], too!

I saw on your signature that theo was only born in 2014. that makes them really close in age, so they will maybe run in the same circles for a long time to come. I really love [name_m]Leon[/name_m] and understand you wanting to keep it, but how about as a middle name?

[name_u]August[/name_u] [name_m]Leon[/name_m]
[name_m]Oliver[/name_m] [name_m]Leon[/name_m]

are all great!
