Her name doesn't feel right

This is my first post here so please bear with me! Hubby and I have had the name [name]Eleanore[/name] picked out for a little girl before we even started trying. When we found out we were having a girl my husbands grandmother passed away. He asked me if I would mind using her middle name [name]Martha[/name] for the baby’s middle name. I wasn’t too crazy about it, but she was the sweetest woman and I wanted to honor her memory. At first I thought it wouldn’t bother me, since it’s just her middle name and not her first, but now I can’t stop thinking about it.
So, down to my question; do you think it would be alright if I used two middle names? I still want to honor my husband’s grandmother, but there’s no way to do it unless I use [name]Martha[/name]. My husband said he was unsure about her having two middle names, but to run some by him and see if we can agree on anything. Also, does anyone have any suggestions? The only name I have so far is [name]Eleanore[/name] [name]Martha[/name] [name]Wren[/name], which I like, but I’m not sure he will.
Wow this got long! Thanks for reading and for any help!

Did his grandmother have a nice middle name that you might like instead? Or did she have a nice maiden name that could go in the middle? Another option would be to use a variant like [name]Marta[/name], [name]Martie[/name], or [name]Marit[/name]. However, I do think [name]Eleanore[/name] [name]Martha[/name] [name]Wren[/name] sounds very nice, and I’m usually not a fan of double-middle names, so that’s saying something.

I think using a second middle in the case of honoring is great. A lot of people will disagree, thinking it excessive. But I think as long as you all are happy with the name that’s what matters!

[name]Eleanore[/name] [name]Martha[/name] [name]Louise[/name]
[name]Eleanore[/name] [name]Martha[/name] [name]Sadie[/name]
[name]Eleanore[/name] [name]Martha[/name] [name]Violet[/name]
[name]Eleanore[/name] [name]Martha[/name] [name]Isabel[/name]
[name]Eleanore[/name] [name]Martha[/name] [name]Beatrice[/name]
[name]Eleanore[/name] [name]Martha[/name] [name]Gwen[/name]
[name]Eleanore[/name] [name]Martha[/name] [name]Primrose[/name]
[name]Eleanore[/name] [name]Martha[/name] [name]Poesy[/name]
[name]Eleanore[/name] [name]Martha[/name] [name]Joy[/name]

[name]Martha[/name] was my husband’s grandmother’s middle name. Her first name was [name]Carolynne[/name], which I wasn’t a fan of in the slightest and neither was she.

Use two middle names (I’m going to)! But i’d choose a one syllabel name to go with [name]Eleanor[/name] and [name]Martha[/name], and I really like [name]Wren[/name]. It fits in really well.

[name]LOVE[/name] [name]Eleanore[/name] [name]Martha[/name] [name]Wren[/name]!!!

While I happen to like [name]Martha[/name] and think your combo is quite stunning I would say don’t give your baby a name you don’t like. My mom gave me her mom’s name as a middle name and I much as I adored my grandmother I never like being stuck with her name. My grandma has passed and I still feel quite close to her and have her picture in my baby’s nursery and I’m trying to love having her name but I just don’t.

I used two middles to honor family when naming my daughter. I think it’s great! A few people have asked why she has two middles, but when we explain people always think it’s sweet.

I do think [name]Martha[/name] [name]Wren[/name] is blendy and almost sounds like a lispy margarine to my ear.

We hyphenated my daughter’s middles as in [name]Martha[/name]-[name]Wren[/name] that way the second middle doesn’t end up left off of forms or forgotten.

Oh I feel bad for you because you clearly aren’t in love with the name [name]Martha[/name]. I agree with what somebody above said about not giving your child a name you don’t love. Is there any other way you could honour her without using the name? Maybe surname inspired or something?

It might be a push but what about a name that begins in [name]Mart[/name] ? Like [name]Martine[/name], for example? [name]Martine[/name] is actually my name and all I can think of right now but I’m sure you could find many more.

I second the suggestion of [name]Marta[/name]! I find it fresh and pretty and yet, it sounds so similar to [name]Martha[/name], that I think it honors it very nicely.

I love [name]Eleanore[/name] [name]Martha[/name] [name]Wren[/name]! I would either use [name]Martha[/name] or not, but would not change [name]Martha[/name] to another form because then you aren’t truly honoring her and are better off simply picking a different name you love. My only consideration with 3 names is for a monogram which I realize is not a very big deal!

Really, thebeijaflor? That’s exciting! (I’m also a [name]Martine[/name])

I was going to suggest spinning [name]Martha[/name] or [name]Carolynne[/name]. Maybe:

[name]Eleanore[/name] [name]Martina[/name] / [name]Eleanore[/name] [name]Martina[/name] [name]Wren[/name]
[name]Eleanore[/name] [name]Caroline[/name] / [name]Eleanore[/name] [name]Caroline[/name] [name]Wren[/name]
[name]Eleanore[/name] [name]Carol[/name] / [name]Eleanore[/name] [name]Carol[/name] [name]Wren[/name]

I do like the sound of [name]Eleanore[/name] [name]Martha[/name] or [name]Eleanore[/name] [name]Martha[/name] [name]Wren[/name] though.
