Hero Peregrine Pullen

Cree [name]Summer[/name] and hubby, [name]Angelo[/name] Pullen have announced their new daughter [name]Hero[/name] [name]Peregrine[/name].
She joins big sis, Brave [name]Little[/name] [name]Wing[/name]

Wow! I forgot that Cree [name]Summer[/name] existed until just now, but she was in so many cartoons that I watched when I was younger that she really feels like a big part of my childhood. I adore [name]Hero[/name] on a girl and it’s such a daring choice that I always feel thrilled when I see it used, and [name]Peregrine[/name] goes beautifully with it.

I feel like I should think that Brave and [name]Hero[/name] are corny on sisters, but I kind of like it. I just looked her up and she grew up on a reservation and her mom is called [name]Lili[/name] [name]Red[/name] [name]Eagle[/name], so I guess her daughters both having bird-related middle names is likely in honor of her mom.

love both names, they are on my list for girls…have been for a while. cute Brave is also on my list how funny I didn’t even know she had kids

I’m usually not into multiple words in a name, but these are sweet as can be.

like [name]Hero[/name] [name]Peregrine[/name], [name]LOVE[/name] Brave [name]Little[/name] [name]Wing[/name]!

Isn’t [name]Peregrine[/name] a boy’s name?

Yep just checked - it is. Oh well.

I have NO idea who these people are - but I hate [name]Hero[/name] as a name.

It surprises me that [name]Holly[/name] [name]Madison[/name]'s [name]Rainbow[/name] gets a more frosty reception than [name]Hero[/name] - especially for a girl, such a masculine sounding name.

There’s a UK based “celebrity” who named her daughter [name]Hero[/name] too - I hated it then as well

[name]Hero[/name] gets its credentials as a legitimate name from [name]Shakespeare[/name]: Much [name]Ado[/name] About Nothing features a heroine named [name]Hero[/name]!

Well, and what about the lady [name]Hero[/name] from the Greek story of [name]Hero[/name] and [name]Leander[/name]? Isn’t that the first literary use of the name? It seems strange to me that the word hero entered our language with a very masculine, “Superman” image, but given that image it does seem oddly macho on a girl. I also dislike [name]Peregrine[/name] on a girl. However, [name]Hero[/name] [name]Peregrine[/name] is a pretty good followup to Brave [name]Little[/name] [name]Wing[/name].

The UK Based celebrity is Myleene [name]Klaas[/name] and the baby is [name]Hero[/name] Haper a sister to [name]Ava[/name] [name]Bailey[/name]. I like it but no idea who they are.

Isn’t [name]Hero[/name] as the Shakespearian name meant to be said differently to hero the word? The former more like Herro - Hello but with Rs in, and the latter Hear-oh.

[name]Hero[/name] is a not-uncommon mythological name in Greece. My husband has a cousin [name]Hero[/name]. However, it’s pronounced Iro (accent on the o). I’d probably go with that spelling here in the U.S. to avoid confusion.

She named a child Brave [name]Little[/name] [name]Wing[/name]? Is she on crack?

[name]Hero[/name] [name]Peregrine[/name] is much better, but that isn’t saying much. Poor kids.
