Hello,
We are really struggling with deciding between these names for our baby girl and would appreciate any feedback!
We like vintage names.
I prefer [name_f]Cecily[/name_f] - very pretty and spunky!
I love both names but cannot get over the meaning of [name_f]Cecily[/name_f] (blind), so my vote goes to [name_f]Hettie[/name_f]. Charming and spunky.
I like [name_f]Hettie[/name_f]…
[name_f]Cecily[/name_f] all the way. It sounds so beautiful, is nick name able and will last well into adulthood
[name_f]Cecily[/name_f]! [name_f]Hettie[/name_f] feels dated and nicknamey to me and [name_f]Cecily[/name_f] so pretty and fresh!
I like both [name_f]Hettie[/name_f] and [name_f]Cecily[/name_f] quite a bit, but a always get a little tongue-tied when I try to say [name_f]Cecily[/name_f], so I prefer [name_f]Hettie[/name_f] for an actual child.
Update: I realize that tongue-ties is the wrong word. It is more that [name_f]Cecily[/name_f] just feels a bit awkward for me to say.
[name_f]Cecily[/name_f] is beautiful. [name_f]Hettie[/name_f] doesn’t sound like a complete name to me.
[name_f]Hettie[/name_f]! I think [name_f]Hettie[/name_f] is a great spunky name!!
I prefer [name_f]Cecily[/name_f]. [name_f]Hettie[/name_f] feels more like a nickname than a full name, not substantial enough for me. [name_f]Cecily[/name_f] is beautiful and [name_f]Cece[/name_f] is a super cute nickname which [name_f]IMO[/name_f] is nicer than [name_f]Hettie[/name_f].
Thank you so much for all of your feedback - very much appreciated!
She would be [name_f]Hettie[/name_f] short for [name_f]Henrietta[/name_f]. But [name_f]Cecily[/name_f] sounds so lovely… aaah!
My other half and I are really struggling with this one.
