Hi, I'm Felix...?

I’ll admit I’ve not been the best at making up name combos, not for girls, and especially not for boys. I like the name [name_m]Felix[/name_m]. It’s adorable, it’s happy-go-lucky, it fits in, and it ages well. But I’ve discovered that I paired it (separately) with two names: Wulfric and [name_m]Howlan[/name_m].

[name_m]Felix[/name_m] Wulfric
[name_m]Felix[/name_m] [name_m]Howlan[/name_m]

Tbh, I’m not entirely sure I like those pairings, although they do appeal greatly to me. Which would you choose? Would you go with another name altogether? If so, any suggestions?

[name_m]Felix[/name_m] is a great name, but as much as I like it I do instantly think of the cat. I think the pairings you have also lend themselves to being very animal inspired Wulfric([name_m]Wolf[/name_m]) and Holwlan(Howl) just feel a little too much for me. I personally would pair them with something more routed/grounded to balance out spunky [name_m]Felix[/name_m]

While I can see why you like those names I think the animal association is a bit much. [name_m]Felix[/name_m] has the cat reference Wulfric has the wolf reference and [name_m]Howlan[/name_m] sounds like “howling” so that has a dog/wolf reference.

It seems like you like slightly more uncommon names. [name_m]Felix[/name_m] [name_u]Orion[/name_u] is lovely! [name_m]Felix[/name_m] [name_m]Reuben[/name_m] and [name_m]Felix[/name_m] [name_m]Barnaby[/name_m] I think could work from your list.

I agree with the “animal” associations, and advice to keep the middle grounded/familiar. I love the suggestions of [name_m]Felix[/name_m] [name_m]Barnaby[/name_m] and [name_m]Felix[/name_m] [name_m]Alexander[/name_m].
