[name]Charlotte[/name]
[name]Madelyn[/name]
[name]Makayla[/name]
[name]Emma[/name]
[name]Anna[/name]
I like [name]Charlotte[/name]. [name]Anna[/name] and [name]Madelyn[/name] are nice as well. [name]Emma[/name] is little too popular for me.
I dislike the trendiness of [name]Madelyn[/name] and [name]Makayla[/name] so it would definitely be between the other three names.
[name]Emma[/name] is quite dated to me because all [name]Emma[/name]'s I know are over the age of 18 y/o.
[name]Anna[/name] seems so bland and although I know a 7 year old named [name]Anna[/name], I always expect to meet much older people with this name. I think a longer version would be better, e.g. [name]Anneliese[/name], [name]Annabel[/name] etc.
Therefore [name]Charlotte[/name] is actually my favourite name from the list, it seems like its an up and coming name in the UK (if I’m right?!) but it’s popularity has been and gone in the UK and like [name]Emma[/name] feels a little dated to that time. I’m in my early 20’s and I know a lot of [name]Charlotte[/name]'s my age. The youngest [name]Charlotte[/name] I know is 3 years old but it seems more common on teens/young adults here.
thank you for advice so helpful! good advice with anna, ty!
I definitely do not like the [name]Madelyn[/name] and [name]Makayla[/name]. Far too trendy, and childlike.
[name]Emma[/name] is lovely, but it’s becoming so overly popular. I still like it very much.
[name]Anna[/name] is nice, but too plain. I’d like a combo with it. Like [name]Annabelle[/name], [name]Anneliese[/name], [name]Anastasia[/name] etc.
[name]Charlotte[/name] I love so much, I hardly ever hear it where I live, and I don’t know anyone named it. However, I have a feel that it’ll boom soon and a lot of little girls will be named it in the upcoming years.
Suggestions:
[name]Madeline[/name]
[name]Charlene[/name]
[name]Charlize[/name]
[name]Scarlett[/name]
Leiselotte
[name]Emmeline[/name]
[name]Emmaleigh[/name]
[name]Anna[/name]! It is simple, yes, but classic, elegant and beautiful. The longer versions rarely improve upon it.
I like [name]Emma[/name] and [name]Charlotte[/name] too, but I agree that here in the UK, they are a bit dated and boring. I also dislike [name]Charlotte[/name]'s nns.
I strongly dislike [name]Madelyn[/name] and [name]Makayla[/name].
I love just [name]Anna[/name], it doesn’t need a long name, it’s just so perfect and classic the way it is. Not to mention how much easier learning to spell her name would be!
[name]Emma[/name] is very cute, but far too popular for my tastes.
[name]Charlotte[/name], love [name]Charlotte[/name], tons of nn potential, but also very popular.
I prefer [name]Madeline[/name] to [name]Madelyn[/name].
Dislike [name]MaKayla[/name].
My favorites are [name]Anna[/name] and [name]Charlotte[/name]. My 12-year-old sister is named [name]Anna[/name], so I have a soft spot for the name (though it seems just a bit, perhaps–tame–for her at times!)
[name]Anna[/name]
[name]Charlotte[/name]
[name]Emma[/name]
[name]Favorite[/name] to least favorite:
[name]Anna[/name]
[name]Charlotte[/name]
[name]Emma[/name]
[name]Madelyn[/name] (I like the [name]Madeleine[/name] spelling)
[name]Makayla[/name] (Please, PLEASE don’t use this.)
Deffinetly [name]Charlotte[/name] is my favorite. [name]Anna[/name] is okay, but for some reason I just dont’ care for it. [name]Emma[/name] is a bit too popular for my tastes, I dont’ like the spelling of [name]Madelyn[/name], and I don’t like [name]Makayla[/name] at all.
[name]Hope[/name] that helps!
- [name]Athena[/name]
[name]Charlotte[/name] - My favorite. [name]Love[/name] the nn [name]Charlie[/name].
[name]Anna[/name] - I like this as a longer version ([name]Annabelle[/name], etc.) Maybe even as a mn.
[name]Emma[/name] - I like it, but I would pair it with a middle name that would set it off, and use it the majority of the time when saying the name ([name]Emma[/name] [name]Rose[/name], [name]Emma[/name] [name]Kate[/name])
[name]Madelyn[/name] - A favorite of mine with the [name]Madeline[/name] spelling. I don’t like this spelling at all.
[name]Makayla[/name] - This name has always been somewhat of a pet peeve to me. I do not like it at all.
In order: 1) [name]Charlotte[/name], 2) [name]Emma[/name], 3) [name]Anna[/name], 4) [name]Madelyn[/name], 5) [name]Makayla[/name].
The only name I dislike is [name]Makayla[/name]. My favorite is [name]Anna[/name].
[name]Anna[/name] [name]Annie[/name]'s just too cute and [name]Anna[/name] is so sophisticated and pretty.
Followed by [name]Charlotte[/name], [name]Lottie[/name] is sweet, and then [name]Madelyn[/name], although I’d much prefer [name]Madeline[/name] or [name]Madeleine[/name] and might rank it second if it was spelled one of those ways.
[name]Emma[/name] is lovely but super super popular in the US. And [name]Makayla[/name] isn’t my style at all, although again I’d like it a lot more if it was spelled [name]Michaela[/name]. It still sounds dated to me though.
Best of luck!
i [name]LOVE[/name] [name]Anna[/name]. Beautiful, classic, unassuming. I would use it in a heartbeat if my last name did not start with “San”!
[name]Anna[/name] is a run away WINNER! She is elegant, classical and well liked and not going to peak into the top 20 anytime soon.
rollo
I love [name]Anna[/name] and [name]Charlotte[/name]. [name]Both[/name] were on my list, but both were used by other family members before I could use them. Good luck!
[name]Charlotte[/name], all the way. Not only do I personally love it, but it is classic and has great nicknaming possibility. [name]Emma[/name] and [name]Anna[/name] are classics, but seem more common. [name]Madelyn[/name] is too trendy for my tastes, I prefer [name]Madeleine[/name]/[name]Madeline[/name]. [name]Makayla[/name] seems dated.
[name]Anna[/name] and [name]Charlotte[/name] are my picks.
[name]Anna[/name] seems like an underused classic to me, and I only know a 15, 33 and 90 year old with this name. That seems to indicate that it can come back from time to time as an acceptable name. I used to think it was really boring but I’m starting to see the appeal.
[name]Charlotte[/name] is very pretty and definitely falls into the “cool young name” category now, at least in the U.S. It seems almost like the “opposite” choice to [name]Anna[/name]!
[name]Emma[/name] seems a little bit past its prime though it’s still a nice name and would be my third choice.
[name]Madelyn[/name] would be much better spelled [name]Madeline[/name] as it would be less “trendy” looking and more classic, and thus age better, I think. Although I think [name]Madeline[/name] is even a little more past prime than [name]Emma[/name].
[name]Makayla[/name] I just don’t like. It’s [name]WAY[/name] outdated and the spelling is unappealing to me.
[name]Charlotte[/name] is my first choice. [name]Anna[/name] and [name]Emma[/name] are tied for my second choice.
