I need a moment to adjust to the idea that the i in [name_m]Aidan[/name_m] is technically a silent letter… like sure the A on its own can make an “Ay” sound like in “Abe” but..?? I mean I wouldn’t pronounce [name_m]Adan[/name_m] the same way at first glance but I also wouldn’t pronounce Alic as [name_f]Alice[/name_f] and the e in [name_f]Alice[/name_f] is definitely silent… and what’s with the w in [name_m]Shawn[/name_m]. Is that a sound? The absence of a sound? [name_f][/name_f] What are letters anyway
