Hilary Duff's baby boy!!

[name]Hilary[/name] [name]Duff[/name] has given birth to a bouncing baby boy! [name]Luca[/name] [name]Cruz[/name] Comrie was born [name]Tuesday[/name], [name]March[/name] 20th!

What does everyone thing of this bundle of joy’s name? I personally love it! I think it’s a little heavy on the “C”'s, but over all very good and not something too cutsey!

I find it very interesting that a woman named [name]Hilary[/name] [name]Duff[/name] would choose the Italian [name]Luca[/name] and the Spanish [name]Cruz[/name]. It just goes to show how international our tastes are getting when it comes to baby naming. I like both names but I also find the combo very heavy on C’s.

Is it pronounced Loo-ka or Loo-sha?

Loo-ka

[name]Love[/name] the name they chose. [name]Luca[/name] is a favorite boys name of mine.

I like it alright. [name]Luca[/name] is a great boy name and I do like [name]Cruz[/name].
I agree on it being heavy on the [k’] sound, and also I myself have to yet a Spanish person named [name]Cruz[/name] which makes me wonder whether Spanish people actually use the name [name]Cruz[/name] as a first name. Because if not, then all I can see is [name]Cruz[/name] [name]Beckham[/name].

I only know people named [name]Cruz[/name] as a last name.

I was so excited when I saw she named her son [name]Luca[/name], one of my all time favorite boy names  I love it! It was a wonderful choice.

Haha, that’s my birthday!

It’s not really for me but [name]Luca[/name] [name]Cruz[/name] is a respectable choice and I wish her every happiness. [name]Luca[/name] Comrie is a bit “C” heavy but not terrible, imo.

[name]Love[/name] her and love it!!! I knew she would choose something great! I do agree it’s a bit C heavy, but it’s a great classic name!

Her choice is irritating to me, I hate it when non italians use italian names like Luca etc. I stand corrected if her husband is italian but Combrie dosent sound Italian in the least. Luca Combrie just sounds like she is a wannabe Italian. As for luca, I love it, it’s one of my favorites.

I love Luca. I think Italian names are best with Italian last names, that is my pet peeve I guess. Combrie doesn’t sound Italian and I think the combo as a whole is c heavy but not bad.

I love it!

[name]How[/name] so? People name their children [name]Caitlin[/name] and [name]Sean[/name] who aren’t Irish. It’s not tacky at all. It’s a nice name that she loved, so she used it. You don’t have to stick inside your ethnicity when it comes to choosing names. She’s not trying to be something she’s not, she just liked the name [name]Luca[/name]…

I think [name]Luca[/name] is lovely, and I agree that you can use a name of any nationality as long as you like it! I’m Welsh and love names that are French, Spanish, Italian, Dutch, [name]German[/name] etc. I’d have no problem using them. [name]Luca[/name] seems like an interational name that’s very accesible to people of any nationality.

[name]Luca[/name] Comrie I can deal with, and [name]Luca[/name] [name]Cruz[/name] (although [name]Cruz[/name] feels trendy to me), but [name]Luca[/name] [name]Cruz[/name] Comrie really is too much C.

If I was her I would have done [name]Luca[/name] [name]William[/name] Comrie since [name]William[/name] is her hubbys middle name and his fathers name, or [name]Luca[/name] Erhard Comrie which is [name]Hilary[/name]'s middle name and her father’s middle name. [name]Both[/name] families obviously have a tradition of family names in the middle so it would have been nice if they carried it on, not to mention [name]Luca[/name] [name]William[/name] just sounds fab! Oh well, to each their own.

Still a lovely name overall, that doesn’t feel like it’s trying too hard to be different like a lot of celebrity names. Congrats [name]Hilary[/name] and [name]Mike[/name]!

For a celeb baby name, especially from a former Disney/Tween star, I am pretty impressed. Name nerd hyper-analysis aside, it is handsome and [name]Luca[/name] and [name]Cruz[/name] are great names.

I actually really like [name]Luca[/name] [name]Cruz[/name]. It is a little C heavy, but that’s probably it’s only flaw. I think it’s a charming combination that’ll age well, and modern without being too trendee. I don’t think I would ever use [name]Luca[/name], but it works well. Congrats to them both.

Yeah [name]Luca[/name] really very good i like this name.

I think it’s a fine choice, yes it’s C heavy, but compared to some celeb names it’s pretty much perfect!

When I was younger she was one of my idols! I [name]LOVE[/name] the name [name]Luca[/name] [name]Cruz[/name] Comrie!

[name]Luca[/name] [name]Cruz[/name] , i am thinking good name.
