I’m 39 weeks pregnant, and still have no idea what to call our boy! Assuming of course that it will be a boy and the sonographer didn’t make a mistake…!
Anyway - looking for some inspiration for names that work well in English and Spanish. OH is quite taken by the name [name]Felix[/name] [name]Nathaniel[/name], and I like the idea of [name]Gabriel[/name] as a first name - although I’m well aware it might get shortened to [name]Gay[/name] in the playground (character building, no?). We also have [name]Luca[/name] on the list, and [name]Caspar[/name]. But I don’t know!
[name]How[/name] are you pronouncing [name]Gabriel[/name]? I prefer the lovely gah- beginning, which shouldn’t get shortened to [name]Gay[/name]. I wouldn’t purposely give a child a teasable name to build character, personally.
I like [name]Felix[/name] [name]Nathaniel[/name] or [name]Luca[/name] [name]Gabriel[/name].
I know quite a few elementary aged Gabriels, I’ve never heard any of them shortened to ‘[name]Gay[/name]’ most go by [name]Gabe[/name]. That being said personally I prefer [name]Caspar[/name] and [name]Luca[/name] I think they’re both very handsome!
I really like the nickname [name]Gabi[/name] for [name]Gabriel[/name]… and honestly, I know guys named [name]Gaylen[/name] who’ve survived, and my aunt’s name is [name]Gaye[/name] so I don’t think it’d the end of the world to have 'gay in a name.
I love [name]Caspar[/name] myself! [name]Felix[/name] [name]Nathaniel[/name] is great, too.
[name]Bruno[/name]
Cayetano
[name]Gonzalo[/name]
[name]Feliciano[/name] (this is pretty dated, but I like it anyway)
[name]Hugo[/name]
[name]Leo[/name]
[name]Matias[/name]
[name]Oscar[/name]
[name]Ruben[/name]
[name]Tristan[/name]
[name]Yago[/name]
Some of these names have an accent thing like ”lvaro, [name]Jer[/name]ónimo and a few others but I didn’t use them cause I’m not sure if you’ll want them to be THAT hispanic
