I posted yesterday with the name [name_f]Phoebe[/name_f] [name_u]Jean[/name_u].
Anyways I have been thinking about some other girls names and would like to know what you think. [name_u]Jean[/name_u] will stay as middle (Grandmas name).
Other names on my list:
[name_f]Phoebe[/name_f] [name_u]Jean[/name_u]
[name_f]Lydia[/name_f] [name_u]Jean[/name_u]
[name_f]Tabitha[/name_f] [name_u]Jean[/name_u]
[name_f]Naomi[/name_f] [name_u]Jean[/name_u]
[name_f]Eliza[/name_f] [name_u]Jean[/name_u]
[name_f]Phoebe[/name_f] is lovely but paired with [name_u]Jean[/name_u] I think it’s a bit too heavy on the “ee” sound.
I really like all of your other options, you can’t really go wrong with them. [name_f]Lydia[/name_f] is my favorite out of them all.
They’re all nice options. However, although I do like [name_f]Eliza[/name_f] a lot, and [name_f]Eliza[/name_f] [name_u]Jean[/name_u] is lovely, [name_f]Eliza[/name_f] [name_f]Hazel[/name_f] as a first and surname might be a big Z/L heavy perhaps? I don’t mind the repeated E sound in [name_f]Phoebe[/name_f] [name_u]Jean[/name_u] at all, due to it being first and middle and rarely said aloud together, but yes, first and surname are much more prominent.
I honestly like all those combos, but [name_f]Lydia[/name_f] [name_u]Jean[/name_u] and [name_f]Naomi[/name_f] [name_u]Jean[/name_u] are truly gorgeous. I still think [name_f]Phoebe[/name_f] [name_u]Jean[/name_u] is adorable despite all the long E’s. but my new fave is [name_f]Naomi[/name_f]… [name_f]Naomi[/name_f] [name_f]Hazel[/name_f] sounds great.
I think [name_f]Eliza[/name_f] and [name_f]Hazel[/name_f] might share a few too many sounds/letters.
[name_m]Ah[/name_m] just glimpsed [name_f]Fiona[/name_f] [name_f]Hazel[/name_f] in my sig, so thought I’d throw out [name_f]Fiona[/name_f] too.
[name_f]Phoebe[/name_f] [name_u]Jean[/name_u] is heavy on the “e” sound and is a little too rhyme-y. I like [name_f]Naomi[/name_f] and [name_f]Eliza[/name_f] [name_u]Jean[/name_u] better. However, I think that if you’re keeping [name_u]Jean[/name_u] as a middle, I would use a longer first name.
[name_f]Lydia[/name_f] [name_u]Jean[/name_u] - [name_f]Lydia[/name_f] is a beautiful name, but feels a very different style than [name_u]Jean[/name_u]. [name_u]Jean[/name_u] is no-nonsense English, while [name_f]Lydia[/name_f] is pure poetry and ancient-sounding. I like each name separately but not together.
[name_f]Tabitha[/name_f] [name_u]Jean[/name_u] - beautiful
[name_f]Naomi[/name_f] [name_u]Jean[/name_u] - these have a lovely sound together
[name_f]Eliza[/name_f] [name_u]Jean[/name_u] - they go perfectly together, but seem to be a little uninspired compared to the two more interesting combos above.
Of all your names, I like [name_f]Phoebe[/name_f] best, even if it’s a little clunky with [name_u]Jean[/name_u]. Honestly, how often will she be called by her first and middle anyway?
I love [name_f]Naomi[/name_f] [name_u]Jean[/name_u] and would totally use it if it weren’t off limits for me. I know a 3 year old [name_f]Naomi[/name_f] [name_u]Jean[/name_u] who is a spunky little firecracker!
I like all of your names but I think [name_f]Tabitha[/name_f] sounds the best with [name_f]Hazel[/name_f]. Try saying them all out loud with your surname with and without [name_u]Jean[/name_u] in the middle and one should stand out to you as well.
I love [name_f]Phoebe[/name_f] & don’t mind the repeating long ee sound w/the middle name of [name_u]Jean[/name_u]…I prefer the [name_m]French[/name_m] spelling of [name_f]Jeanne[/name_f], but my closest aunt is [name_f]Jeanne[/name_f] & so I have a bias toward that spelling. And I think [name_f]Phoebe[/name_f] [name_f]Hazel[/name_f] sounds great together. As pps have said, it’s not often that you’d be saying [name_f]Phoebe[/name_f] [name_u]Jean[/name_u]; [name_f]Phoebe[/name_f] [name_f]Hazel[/name_f] will be said much more frequently.
Of your other options, [name_f]Tabitha[/name_f]'s my favorite. [name_f]Tabitha[/name_f] [name_u]Jean[/name_u] could have a nn of [name_f]Tibby[/name_f], [name_u]Tab[/name_u]/[name_f]Tabby[/name_f], or TJ, & [name_f]Tabitha[/name_f] [name_f]Hazel[/name_f] sounds great.
[name_f]Tabitha[/name_f] [name_u]Jean[/name_u] [name_f]Hazel[/name_f] is just beautiful! I also really like [name_f]Eliza[/name_f] and [name_f]Phoebe[/name_f], but for some reason [name_f]Tabitha[/name_f] just really stands out to me.
[name_f]Lydia[/name_f] [name_u]Jean[/name_u] is my favorite! I like [name_f]Eliza[/name_f], but I don’t think [name_f]Eliza[/name_f] [name_f]Hazel[/name_f] flows well.
[name_f]Naomi[/name_f] [name_u]Jean[/name_u] gets my vote! I have a daughter with this name so I am totally biased It was a name combo I couldn’t get out of my head during my pregnancy because I just loved to say it so much. My two and half year old is beautiful, spunky, smart, creative, tenatious, & tender in her love…Her name fits her so well. She gets the nicknames Nae, [name_f]Mimi[/name_f] and we call her [name_f]Naomi[/name_f] [name_u]Jean[/name_u] a lot too. My second choice would be [name_f]Eliza[/name_f] [name_u]Jean[/name_u] or [name_f]Phoebe[/name_f] [name_u]Jean[/name_u]…both would make great future sister names too! Good luck!
I like [name_f]Eliza[/name_f] and [name_f]Lydia[/name_f] from your list. [name_u]Jean[/name_u] is really cool and due for a comeback, in my opinion. I love it more and more.
