What do you guys think of the name [name]Holland[/name]? I first heard it as a name a couple of years ago and have liked it ever since. I feel like it’s a name that can work on a a little girl as well as an adult. Opinions?
I’m not a fan of countries on people.
Cities I can do, but countries? Nms at all most times. I think it’s trendy in a tacky way. Especially on girls. Especially if there’s no tie to the country named.
[name]Holly[/name] is great name, however.
I like it, but that’s only because I have ancestral ties to [name]Holland[/name]. I do like some place names like, [name]Geneva[/name] and [name]Odessa[/name], I think they can be okay, but only if they are not over used like [name]London[/name] and [name]Paris[/name]. I also like [name]Ireland[/name] on a girl. I think it’s more acceptable if there is a connection with the place, even if it’s just because you just like the place you’re using as a name, but without even being a fan of a place and just using the name, that would be a little strange to me.
I don’t like it at all.
It doesn’t sound like a girl name to me… I think I remember a male character on [name]Angel[/name] being named [name]Holland[/name], so to me it really says crusty-old-demon-man.
My head went to [name]Holland[/name] Manners, too. I can never see the name the same way.
Definitely don’t care for [name]Holland[/name] on a girl. I’m not a big fan of place names anyway.
I love place names.
I love it! Go for it
Not a fan. I like [name]Holly[/name] or [name]Hollis[/name] better.
I think [name]Holland[/name] is a beautiful name for a girl. [name]Don[/name]'t be discouraged because some people don’t like it. Eveyone has different styles. It was on my list not to long ago. [name]Holland[/name] can always have the Nn [name]Holly[/name] too.
Also, there’s an actress named [name]Holland[/name] [name]Taylor[/name] and she is awesome.
