Is [name_u]Holland[/name_u] really that awful? I’m getting a lot of flack for it. I’m not a big fan of [name_f]Holly[/name_f]. It makes me think of [name_f]Holly[/name_f] Hobbit. But, I love [name_u]Holland[/name_u]. My second choice is [name_u]Vivian[/name_u] [name_f]Judith[/name_f]. I have one son named [name_m]Vance[/name_m].
It’s not aweful at all. But you must realize that not everyone is going to like ANY name you pick (this is why many Berries don’t share potential names with people they know in person until the baby is born)
You should use it if you love it. Not doing so is a large cause of name regret.

One of my good friends is [name_u]Holland[/name_u]! [name_m]Just[/name_m] [name_u]Holland[/name_u], no nicknames. I love it, it suits her very well. She’s a stellar athlete and a science major. You definitely can’t please everyone, but I prefer [name_u]Holland[/name_u] to [name_u]Vivian[/name_u]. I think you should go for it if you love it!

There’s nothing wrong with [name_u]Holland[/name_u].
[name_u]Holland[/name_u] is nowhere near horrible but I’ve noticed too that people don’t seem to like that name! I disagree I think it’s a pretty name but, like you, I really don’t like [name_f]Holly[/name_f], never did! Though it is the most obvious nickname, unfortunately!
I think [name_u]Holland[/name_u] is a great name. And personally I think once people see your sweet little baby they’ll get over the name and just love your baby [name_u]Holland[/name_u].
No way! It’s not awful! I love [name_u]Holland[/name_u]! I don’t like [name_f]Holly[/name_f] either and don’t like nn in general. As long as you don’t call her [name_f]Holly[/name_f], others won’t either. I love it! It’s my pick!
I know a male named [name_u]Holland[/name_u] and I don’t think it’s strange at all. However, if your not a fan of [name_f]Holly[/name_f] it is similar and may be what they are nicknamed or accidentally called. I like [name_u]Vivian[/name_u] with your other child’s name better.
I also like [name_u]Vivien[/name_u] better than [name_u]Holland[/name_u] but prefer [name_m]Vance[/name_m] and [name_f]Vivienne[/name_f].
Regardless of this, if you love [name_u]Holland[/name_u] then you need to use it. You may always regret it if you don’t.

It reminds me of [name_u]Holland[/name_u] Roden and I can’t stand her, but the name itself isn’t bad. Completely unusable where I live, but not a bad name.
I love [name_u]Holland[/name_u]. The name itself is totally wearable and beautiful. I know a [name_u]Holland[/name_u] and she goes by Holl. She’s feminine but hangs with the guys just fine. I always find this name very charming. If you love it, just go for it. Possible nicknames could be Holl, [name_u]Olly[/name_u], Landy, [name_u]Lanny[/name_u] or [name_u]Andy[/name_u] ^^

My mother almost named me [name_u]Holland[/name_u] and I think it is a beautiful name. However, I would expect people to naturally call her [name_f]Holly[/name_f]. There is also the possibility she will choose the nickname [name_f]Holly[/name_f] for herself as she gets older. [name_m]Just[/name_m] some things to keep in mind.
I loooove the name [name_u]Holland[/name_u]. Sadly I’m [name_m]French[/name_m] and it’s the last name of our president (probably the most disliked [name_m]French[/name_m] president).
So no, it’s definitely not awful! Go for it if you both like it
