Could Holland Theo or Holland Caspian, nickname Hollie, work for a little boy? I think it would be adorable, but I just can’t decide if it’s actually usable. All my other favorite boy names are either traditionally masculine or unisex without enough usage to be boy or girl.

While I prefer Holland on a girl, I dont see why it cant work on a boy. Holland Theo is gorgeous, and I also love the potential nns Hollie/Ollie/Land it provides.

Yes! I love Holland, for a boy or girl and Hollie is absolutely adorable as well. Holland Theo is really nice.

I’ve never thought of Holland being used on a boy, but I love it! I think Hollie is so adorable. Both your combos are great, I think Holland Caspian is so charming!

Holland (nn Hollie) is really nice on a boy. I prefer Holland Caspian over Holland Theo.

I can totally see it working. It gives me the vibes of more popular Reuben nn Ruby or Rue for a boy.
Holland Theo has a certain charm

Yay! Holland on a boy is usable! I read it in a book when I was a little girl and I’ve loved it for a son ever since.

I’m a part of the minority that prefers Holland on a boy. So sweet and charming, and can grow with him through adulthood! Love it!

Holland Caspian is nice! It could definitely work for a boy. However, I prefer Caspian Holland.

Holland Theo and Holland Caspian are both gorgeous! I think it could work on a boy, although the nn Hollie seems very feminine to me.

I love the name Holland, but not for a boy, especially “Hollie”. I do love Hollister, but I think the nn would still be an issue for me. I know a few men with feminine names & they hate them.

I think I am really liking Holland for a boy. I love it for a girl, too, but I think that given only about 350 girls were given the name in 2018, a little boy called Holland is fairly unlikely to be referred to as “Boy Holland” in his class, I’d say.

I’ll admit, I’m a bit iffy about nation names as people names, that said I do like the thought of Holland for a boy more than a girl. Personally I’d consider it more for a middle than a first name, but I don’t think it’s unusable as a first.

A small pop culture thing to be aware of: a fairly popular/well known anime, Eureka Seven, features a main character named Holland. (Now that I think about it there are some very fun names in that series.)

Holland Theo and especially Holland Caspian get a big thumbs up from me! As for Hollie on a boy, I call my son Kitty and Kiki sometimes and they don’t even feel like “girls’” names anymore. They’re just him!

I also really love Hollis for a boy. Hollis Caspian would be amazing.

I quite like this! Although, I think [name_u]Holland[/name_u] [name_m]Theodore[/name_m] sounds nicer than a [name_u]Holland[/name_u] [name_u]Theo[/name_u]. I don’t think I’m feeling it with [name_m]Captain[/name_m] though, doesn’t quite flow right to me.

I agree! :ok_hand:
