We are about to have our 3rd child. We already have a boy - [name]Elijah[/name] [name]Montgomery[/name] and a girl - [name]Holly[/name] [name]Amelia[/name] [name]Louise[/name].
We are expecting a little girl and love the name [name]Olive[/name] - but not sure if it is too similar to [name]Holly[/name] (esp if she ends up being nicknamed [name]Olly[/name]/[name]Ollie[/name]…) By choice as a nickname we would call her [name]Livvy[/name] or perhaps [name]Liv[/name] when she’s older. We also really love the names [name]Clara[/name] and [name]Rose[/name]. It is a family tradition for girls to have 2 MNs. I am quite partial to flower/plant names - but want to steer away from the really popular ones e.g.: lily, poppy, daisy…
[name]Clara[/name] [name]Emily[/name] [name]Rose[/name]?
[name]Estelle[/name] [name]Olive[/name] [name]Mae[/name]?
[name]Ada[/name] [name]Magnolia[/name] [name]Rose[/name]? (depends where you stand on the how much is too much floral/plant)
[name]Azalea[/name] [name]Olive[/name] [name]Mae[/name]?
[name]Celia[/name] [name]Olive[/name] [name]Rose[/name]?
[name]Clara[/name] [name]Violet[/name] [name]Pearl[/name]?
[name]Willa[/name] [name]Juliet[/name] [name]Pearl[/name]?
[name]Clara[/name] [name]Daphne[/name] [name]Pearl[/name]?
[name]Clara[/name] [name]Daphne[/name] [name]Elise[/name]?
[name]Olivia[/name] [name]Lilac[/name] [name]Rose[/name]?
[name]Laurel[/name] [name]Olivia[/name] [name]Rose[/name]? I really like this one
[name]Eleanor[/name] [name]Sarah[/name] [name]Daphne[/name]?
They are both great names, but, yes, they do sound too much alike to me. In both names that ‘ol’ sound just kind of fills your mouth, doesn’t it? Surprising, because the names look quite different.
If you want a botanical name, how about [name]Hazel[/name], [name]Rosemary[/name], or [name]Juniper[/name]?
[name]One[/name] question, though–will your son end up feeling like the odd one out if his sisters have names that belong to a set, but his doesn’t?
