Holly or Paisley?

Our daughter is [name]Avery[/name] [name]Jane[/name]. She is 3 years old, and we were planning on naming our second daughter [name]Paisley[/name] [name]Alyson[/name], but [name]Avery[/name] informed us that sisters name would be [name]Holly[/name]! Where it came from, we don’t know! And we kind of like it.
Middle names are a bit tough for me. I like three name combo’s lately as long as they aren’t tooooooo long. We threw around [name]Holly[/name] [name]Reese[/name] and like that.
Any sugguestions and suggestions on middle names? Thanks for helping!

Definitely [name]Holly[/name]! [name]Avery[/name] and [name]Holly[/name] are great together! (If [name]Holly[/name] is not your style, you could always do [name]Hollis[/name] nn [name]Holly[/name], by the way).

Middle name suggestions:
[name]Holly[/name] [name]Ruth[/name] [name]Miranda[/name]
[name]Holly[/name] [name]Johanna[/name] [name]Kate[/name]
[name]Holly[/name] [name]Belinda[/name] [name]Ann[/name]
[name]Holly[/name] [name]Elizabeth[/name] [name]June[/name]
[name]Holly[/name] [name]Candace[/name] [name]Pearl[/name]
[name]Holly[/name] [name]Alexandria[/name] [name]Violet[/name]
[name]Holly[/name] [name]Marion[/name] [name]Claire[/name]
[name]Holly[/name] [name]Frances[/name] [name]Katherine[/name]
[name]Holly[/name] [name]Mirabel[/name] [name]Simone[/name]
[name]Holly[/name] [name]Patricia[/name] [name]Faith[/name]
[name]Holly[/name] [name]Joy[/name] [name]Celeste[/name]
[name]Holly[/name] [name]Winifred[/name] [name]Eve[/name]
[name]Holly[/name] [name]Savannah[/name] [name]Grace[/name]
[name]Holly[/name] [name]Diana[/name] [name]Sloane[/name]
[name]Holly[/name] [name]Margaret[/name] [name]Joyce[/name]

I definitely prefer [name]Holly[/name], and your combo ([name]Holly[/name] [name]Reese[/name]) was really nice! [name]Hollis[/name] works well with [name]Avery[/name], too…

[name]Holly[/name] [name]Charlotte[/name]
[name]Holly[/name] [name]Megan[/name]
[name]Holly[/name] [name]Alice[/name]
[name]Holly[/name] [name]Julia[/name]
[name]Holly[/name] [name]Blair[/name]
[name]Holly[/name] [name]Clara[/name]

I actually prefer [name]Paisley[/name]! What about [name]Paisley[/name] [name]Hollis[/name]?

I prefer [name]Holly[/name] too. If you ever visit the original [name]Paisley[/name] in [name]Scotland[/name] you could be in for a shock - not quite so pretty these days as the lovely name would suggest!

I love [name]Hollis[/name] with [name]Avery[/name]! ([name]Holly[/name] feels pretty dated to me, and I think that [name]Hollis[/name] better fits [name]Avery[/name]'s style.)

More unisex/modern names I can see with [name]Avery[/name]:

[name]Auden[/name] (A theme, though)
[name]Romilly[/name] (nn [name]Romy[/name])

[name]Holly[/name] [name]Caroline[/name]
[name]Holly[/name] [name]Catherine[/name]
[name]Holly[/name] [name]Rebecca[/name]
[name]Holly[/name] [name]Sophia[/name] (popular, though)
[name]Holly[/name] [name]Victoria[/name]

[name]Paisley[/name] [name]Caroline[/name]
[name]Paisley[/name] [name]Catherine[/name]
[name]Paisley[/name] [name]Josephine[/name]
[name]Paisley[/name] [name]Olivia[/name] (popular, though)
[name]Paisley[/name] [name]Victoria[/name]
[name]Paisley[/name] [name]Alexandra[/name]

Good luck!

I love [name]Holly[/name]. [name]Paisley[/name] to me is a pattern of cloth. I guess it is in [name]Scotland[/name], the design motif is [name]Indian[/name] and Persian, but its name comes from the town in [name]Scotland[/name] (of which I’d been ignorant).

I could not imagine going through life with this name. It was a big fad to wear this pattern when I was in high school, and then some people began to call them paramecium (which I guess they resemble). Then it was out of style and anyone who still wore paisley was a doofus. I guess it comes back into style every once in a while, but this as a name, even as a town in [name]Scotland[/name] aside, is like being named Plaid or Gingham or Stripes to me.

I love [name]Holly[/name] as a name. I think it might be a bit out of date, but it is still pretty to me. It always sounds like a happy name. I also think [name]Hollis[/name] or [name]Holland[/name] is a nice name if [name]Holly[/name] seems more likely as a nickname, but I think it is a complete name that stands alone, similar to [name]Molly[/name], but botanical, for one thing, I just think it sounds a lot more of a name to grow up with than [name]Molly[/name]. [name]Paisley[/name] is faddish to me, not just as a design.

LOL!! Thanks, I needed that!

I prefer [name]Holly[/name] to [name]Hollis[/name]. I can see why others would think of it as dated; it’s actually the name of my best friend’s mom. However, I didn’t even think about that until someone pointed it out. I think it’s a really cute name that is overlooked and once it is paired with a little girl’s face there will be no doubt that this name can still translate to any age.

my name is holly and i do like my name holly lynn is okay the only time it suck is the holiday time when we are suppose to have a holly jolly holiday. i’m just kidding but i would say see what the baby looks like first it is always easier naming the child after you’ve seen them because it comes right to you which one should be the right one the first moment you look into their eyes

I prefer [name]Holly[/name] over [name]Paisley[/name] as [name]Paisley[/name] doesn’t seem like it would grow up as well imo. I do also like the suggestion of [name]Hollis[/name] nn [name]Holly[/name] to pair with [name]Avery[/name].

[name]Paisley[/name] all the way!!! My husband and I are about to start our 1st round of IVF and I have been begging him to let me name a girl (if we get pregnant) [name]Journey[/name] [name]Paisley[/name] and he is not having any of it. He said it sounds too much like Parsley haha. [name]Paisley[/name] is beautiful and unique. [name]How[/name] many other [name]Paisley[/name]'s do you know?? She will be special…good luck!
