[name_m]Jack[/name_m] - Seems a little boring and common to me but still cute.
[name_m]Brooks[/name_m] - Cute for a kid and would work for an adult!
[name_m]Wesley[/name_m] - I like the name, but it seems like it would work better for someone who is shy rather than an outgoing little kid.
[name_f]Maxine[/name_f] - I love [name_f]Maxine[/name_f], I had a friend who was named [name_f]Maxine[/name_f] so I have a good association with it.
[name_f]Rosemary[/name_f] - I love the name but…[name_f]Rosemary[/name_f]'s baby comes to mind…
I’ll start with the positives, I really like [name_f]Snow[/name_f]. I think it’s hearing it so often on “Once Upon a Time” but it sounds more and more like a name that could really work and it’s just beautiful! I like [name_u]Sage[/name_u] as well, not so much as [name_f]Snow[/name_f] but it’s nice.
However, I’m not keen on [name_u]Royal[/name_u] or [name_f]Copper[/name_f]. I feel that [name_f]Copper[/name_f] would be confused with [name_m]Cooper[/name_m] and I don’t like the sound very much and I have a general dislike for names like [name_u]Royal[/name_u]/[name_m]King[/name_m]/[name_f]Princess[/name_f] etc. They’re certainly not the worst names that you could choose but they’re not my style at all.
I absolutely [name_u]LOVE[/name_u] [name_u]Piper[/name_u] as a name. (10/10)
I really like [name_f]Fern[/name_f] as well. It is short, sweet and uncommon (I have never met a “[name_f]Fern[/name_f]”!) (8/10)
I am not as fond of [name_f]Tallulah[/name_f] and [name_f]Mabel[/name_f]. (6/10 for both)
[name_f]Eloise[/name_f], [name_u]Sutton[/name_u], [name_u]Joey[/name_u] and [name_u]Penrose[/name_u] (all female)
[name_f]Eloise[/name_f] - Honestly, the little girl who lives at the plaza is sort of a drawback for me, but I acknowledge that is weird; for most people it would increase the charm and I have to admit that [name_f]Eloise[/name_f] is a charming name. She’s just so sweet.
[name_u]Sutton[/name_u] - Growing on me the more I hear it. [name_u]Sutton[/name_u] [name_m]Foster[/name_m] is the obvious association, and she’s so charming I can’t help but love her name. [name_u]Sutton[/name_u] and [name_f]Eloise[/name_f] is unexpected as a sibset, but I kind of like it.
[name_u]Joey[/name_u] - Not my favorite boy’s name on a girl, but next to [name_u]Sutton[/name_u] and [name_f]Eloise[/name_f], [name_u]Joey[/name_u] does strike a nice classic/modern chord.
[name_u]Penrose[/name_u] - AAHH! WHAT a darling name. I can’t help it; Tearose, [name_u]Penrose[/name_u], Melrose - names ending in “[name_f]Rose[/name_f]” are my weakness. And this one absolutely ties [name_u]Sutton[/name_u] and [name_f]Eloise[/name_f] together in the sibset; she’s classic but NOT expected, surnamey but feminine. Oh my gosh, what a beauty…
[name_f]Oona[/name_f], [name_f]Esme[/name_f], [name_f]Twyla[/name_f], and [name_m]Shepard[/name_m]
[name_f]Oona[/name_f]: I like this name, it’s not my normal style but it looks really cool and sounds very unique.
[name_f]Esme[/name_f]: I love [name_f]Esme[/name_f]. It’s so ephemeral and beautiful. I hope it doesn’t get too common, but I’m glad it’s getting some attention.
[name_f]Twyla[/name_f]: I have some odd associations with this name, so it’s a bit strange to me, but I do like it okay.
[name_m]Shepard[/name_m]: I love [name_m]Shepard[/name_m]! I prefer [name_m]Sheppard[/name_m], though, it just looks more balanced to me, but I adore the name. It’s just so handsome and unexpected.
[name_m]Lincoln[/name_m] - So dashing, I love it
[name_f]Vera[/name_f] - Reminds me of an uptight old lady, not sure why, I think a movie character once?
[name_f]Serenity[/name_f] - NMS, I’m not a huge virtue name fan.
[name_m]Felix[/name_m]: Seems too trendy to me. Maybe that’s just where I live, but lots of people are using it around here and have this ‘aren’t i the coolest’ attitude when talking about the name they picked. I can’t stand the name because of it.
[name_f]Margot[/name_f]: I love [name_f]Margot[/name_f]. It’s such a lovely way to get the nickname [name_f]Maggie[/name_f], which I love. It’s unexpected but familiar at the same time.
[name_m]Alistair[/name_m] - I love [name_m]Alistair[/name_m]!
[name_m]Robert[/name_m] “[name_u]Robin[/name_u]” - Im not a big fan of not-obvious nicknames, but [name_u]Robin[/name_u] is cute
[name_m]William[/name_m] “[name_m]Will[/name_m]” - Too common for me but still cute!
[name_u]Nico[/name_u] - I always just think “why not just [name_m]Nicholas[/name_m]”
[name_m]Amias[/name_m] - I like [name_m]Amias[/name_m] but it seems slightly too feminine not to be a unisex name if that makes sense?
[name_u]Allison[/name_u]-I usually hate -son names, but this one is my favorite if I had to pick one of them. [name_u]Allison[/name_u] just seems to be a mean girl in high school though. I’ve never met a sweet and humble [name_u]Allison[/name_u].
[name_m]Conrad[/name_m]-I like it. Strange but strong.
[name_u]Legend[/name_u]-Wayyyyy to narcissistic for a name.
[name_u]Andy[/name_u]-[name_u]Drew[/name_u] is my prefered [name_m]Andrew[/name_m] nn. More distinguished.
[name_f]Jane[/name_f], [name_f]Marceline[/name_f], and [name_f]Thomasina[/name_f]
[name_u]Peyton[/name_u] [b] - I always think of [name_u]Peyton[/name_u] as a girls name but its probably just because [name_m]Ive[/name_m] never met a boy [name_u]Peyton[/name_u].
[name_m]Trevor[/name_m] [b] - Really not a big fan of [name_m]Trevor[/name_m]
[name_f]Hilda[/name_f] [g] - Sounds a little rough, like that tough girl in middle school in movies.
[name_f]Riva[/name_f] [g] - I like [name_f]Riva[/name_f], reminds me of [name_u]River[/name_u]
[name_f]Phaedra[/name_f] [g] - I had to look up how to pronouce it, but it reminds me of the word pharaoh.
[name_f]Infinity[/name_f]: Definitely NMS and I don’t really like it.
[name_f]Novella[/name_f]: Very cute! It’s quite unique and offers lots of NNs.
[name_u]Valentine[/name_u]: Actually quite a nice name but I don’t like the valentine sort of association.
[name_f]Sunshine[/name_f]: I picture a bright and cheerful girl, but I don’t really like [name_f]Sunshine[/name_f] as a name.
[name_u]Love[/name_u] your style!
[name_f]Josephine[/name_f]: [name_u]Love[/name_u] [name_f]Josephine[/name_f]! Have it on my list as [name_f]Flora[/name_f] [name_f]Josephine[/name_f] or [name_f]Josephine[/name_f] [name_f]Aria[/name_f]. Beautiful name!!!
[name_f]Vivienne[/name_f]: I like this spelling best for the [name_u]Vivian[/name_u]/[name_u]Vivien[/name_u]/[name_f]Vivienne[/name_f] names. I don’t love the name though because I know a horrible [name_u]Vivian[/name_u].
[name_f]Lilia[/name_f] - Beautiful!!!
[name_f]Grace[/name_f] - Sort of plain and boring. I’m not a fan of virtue names unless they are a bit more abstract, like [name_f]Amity[/name_f]. [name_m]Even[/name_m] then, MN only.
[name_f]Madeleine[/name_f] - Pretty, a bit overused though. Still nice. I do love [name_f]Maddie[/name_f].
For siblings, what do you think: All middle names honour someone:
[name_m]Oscar[/name_m] [name_u]Jay[/name_u]
[name_m]Ronan[/name_m] [name_m]Bruce[/name_m]
[name_f]Greta[/name_f] [name_f]Kate[/name_f]
[name_f]Tessa[/name_f] [name_f]Jane[/name_f]
[name_f]Clara[/name_f] [name_f]Eve[/name_f]
[name_m]Oscar[/name_m] [name_u]Jay[/name_u]: [name_m]Oscar[/name_m] used to make me think of [name_m]Oscar[/name_m] the Grouch on [name_f]Sesame[/name_f] [name_m]Street[/name_m] but it’s starting to grow on me. [name_u]Jay[/name_u] is my father’s name. I like it, it’s simple, and I like the meaning behind it.
[name_m]Ronan[/name_m] [name_m]Bruce[/name_m]: Not sure what to make of [name_m]Ronan[/name_m]. I don’t love but I don’t hate it. [name_m]Bruce[/name_m] makes me think of the shark on Finding [name_m]Nemo[/name_m].
[name_f]Greta[/name_f] [name_f]Kate[/name_f]: I love [name_f]Greta[/name_f]. I like short [name_m]German[/name_m] sounding girls names. I like [name_f]Kate[/name_f]. It’s one of my favorite nicknames for [name_f]Katherine[/name_f].
[name_f]Tessa[/name_f] [name_f]Jane[/name_f]: I like [name_f]Tessa[/name_f] and I like [name_f]Jane[/name_f], but I’m not crazy about them being paired together.
[name_f]Clara[/name_f] [name_f]Eve[/name_f]: I love [name_f]Eve[/name_f], not crazy for [name_f]Clara[/name_f].
[name_f]Audrey[/name_f]: [name_u]Love[/name_u], love, love!
[name_m]Hardy[/name_m]: I don’t like it.
[name_f]Heidi[/name_f]: Nice enough but sounds more like a name you’d give a dog.
[name_u]Aidan[/name_u]: Too popular and boring.
[name_m]Anders[/name_m]: Prefer [name_m]Andrew[/name_m].
Alder: Doesn’t sound like a real name.
[name_f]Estelle[/name_f] : Dont like it .
[name_f]Imogen[/name_f] : [name_u]Love[/name_u] it . My favorite from your list .
[name_f]Nora[/name_f] : [name_u]Love[/name_u] it as a nn for [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f] .
[name_f]Harriet[/name_f] : I like it but i hate the nn [name_f]Hattie[/name_f] .
[name_f]Matilda[/name_f] : Cute name but i wouldnt choose it myself . Also dont like the nn .
Varren: [name_m]Don[/name_m]'t like it, it seems like a misspelling of [name_m]Warren[/name_m] and it’s very harsh
[name_f]Isobel[/name_f]: Like, but prefer [name_f]Isabelle[/name_f]
[name_f]Ophelia[/name_f]: [name_u]Love[/name_u] it! It’s beautiful!
[name_f]Gwendolen[/name_f]: I love it, so pretty and [name_f]Gwen[/name_f] is such a lovely potential nickname
[name_m]Dante[/name_m]: So handsome!
My favourites are [name_m]Dante[/name_m] and [name_f]Ophelia[/name_f]!
[name_f]Myrna[/name_f]- Not my style. It doesn’t look very nice to me written down.
[name_f]Virginia[/name_f]- I like this name in theory but I can’t un-see Virgin, and I wouldn’t want to impose that societal expectation on a kid.
[name_f]Maureen[/name_f]- I like this name a lot, probably my love for RENT helps that. I don’t know how usable it is, though.
[name_f]Mathilda[/name_f]- I have a relative called Mathelda. I like both names, but I feel like people won’t know how to say it.
[name_m]Arthur[/name_m]- I like this one, it would be so cute on a little guy!
[name_u]James[/name_u]- [name_u]Love[/name_u] it, I wish it wasn’t so common
[name_m]Frederick[/name_m]- I’m not a big fan, I don’t like the rick ending.
