Hey berries! [name_m]Ive[/name_m] got a classic boys name id like your opinions on. Why do you like it? Why dont you like it? What kind of person do you picture with this name? The name is [name_m]Jeremiah[/name_m]
Also what about the combo [name_m]Jeremiah[/name_m] [name_u]Jay[/name_u]? Thanks!
[name_m]Jeremiah[/name_m] is great. I have nothing against it. Not my cup of tea, personally, but it’s a strong, masculine, biblical name. Can’t go wrong. I don’t really have a visual for it. I am not sure I would pair it with [name_u]Jay[/name_u] as a middle though-- unless it’s an honor name or something, I think there are a lot of other great choices out there.
I think [name_m]Jeremiah[/name_m] is a nice name. As collmcc523 said, I wouldn’t personally use it but I do think its a really nice name. I am sort of a fan of J alliteration so I like [name_m]Jeremiah[/name_m] [name_u]Jay[/name_u]. My great grandfather was a [name_u]Jay[/name_u] [name_m]Jarvis[/name_m], and both those names appear often for men in my family. It may be a classic name but I picture a young man being trendy and sophisticated with that name.
It is really not my thing. It’s a little too long and a bit of a tongue twister. Nothing wrong with it, just not my style.
I think [name_m]Jeremiah[/name_m] is lovely! I adore the nn [name_u]Jem[/name_u]!
Im not a hugs fan of [name_m]Jeremiah[/name_m] [name_u]Jay[/name_u]… Although Im not a huge fan of [name_u]Jay[/name_u] as a name anyways. Sounds too much like an initial! Maybe [name_m]Jeremiah[/name_m] [name_m]John[/name_m] if you wanted to do an alliterative name!
[name_m]Jeremiah[/name_m] I usually think of extremely religious parents trying to brand their child with a name that reflects their personal beliefs.
You’d better hope you child believes them too in twenty years time.
[name_m]How[/name_m] many syllables is your last name? Since [name_m]Jeremiah[/name_m] has 4 syllables, it just feels off to pair it with a single-syllable middle name. Does [name_u]Jay[/name_u] have sentimental value? If not, perhaps a two-syllable mn would be a better choice. For instance, I like the sound of [name_m]Jeremiah[/name_m] [name_m]Jackson[/name_m] better than [name_m]Jeremiah[/name_m] [name_u]Jay[/name_u].
I like it. My Dad is [name_u]James[/name_u] [name_m]Jason[/name_m] and went by JJ until he was 15. [name_m]Jerimiah[/name_m] [name_u]Jay[/name_u] has the same flow and possible cutesy nickname.
Not to mention [name_m]Jerimiah[/name_m] is a name that is cute when he is little, cool when he is a teen, and classy when he is all grown up. (In case you think ahead like me).
[name_m]Jeremiah[/name_m] is OK. I would not pair it with [name_u]Jay[/name_u] though. Its a little much. Good luck!
[name_m]Jeremiah[/name_m] instantly reminds me of the song “[name_m]Jeremiah[/name_m] was a Bullfrog”. Maybe [name_m]Jeremy[/name_m]?
I don’t mind the double “J” names – I grew up with a friend who went by the initials JJ.
I actually rather like [name_m]Jeremiah[/name_m]. It’s a little too biblical for me to personally consider it.
Also there was a rather terrible TV show by that name staring [name_m]Luke[/name_m] [name_u]Perry[/name_u].
(It takes place is a sort of post-apocolyptic world).
(I don’t mind the JJ initialing.)
is an OK name, although I do picture a wild mountain man with a ZZ top beard.
Maybe [name_u]Jay[/name_u] would become his nickname as [name_m]Jeremiah[/name_m] is a mouthful for a toddler.
I do like [name_m]Jeremiah[/name_m], but to me it`s a little boring. It does sound strong and handsome but… [name_m]Just[/name_m] not my taste.
I prefer [name_m]Jeremy[/name_m].
I really like [name_m]Jeremiah[/name_m]! It seems much fresher than [name_m]Jeremy[/name_m] to me. I know a very cute 4 year old [name_m]Jeremiah[/name_m] nn [name_u]Jerry[/name_u] - although I’d personally use [name_u]Jem[/name_u]!
I adore [name_m]Jeremiah[/name_m] (it’s my favorite route to [name_u]Remy[/name_u]). Not wild about [name_m]Jeremiah[/name_m] [name_u]Jay[/name_u] but it’s not terrible
I like classic names, too. They’re timeless (my boys are [name_m]Levi[/name_m], [name_u]Noah[/name_u], and soon, [name_m]Asher[/name_m]).
I think it sounds best when the FN and the MN begin with different letters, though, so I’d rethink [name_m]Jeremiah[/name_m] [name_u]Jay[/name_u].
