Hello, This is my first post here so here’s a quick introduction: My name is [name]Lily[/name] and my husband [name]Henry[/name] and I have been married for what seems like forever! We are currently expecting our 3rd (and probably last) child, gender unknown. I’ve been browsing for a while now and would love some input by way of ideas and opinions on our list so far (it’s only short I promise!). Instead of [name]Alice[/name], you might like [name]Josephine[/name], [name]Jane[/name], [name]Louise[/name], [name]Ruth[/name], [name]Julia[/name] (love!), [name]Kate[/name], [name]Emily[/name] (great with [name]Anne[/name] and [name]Richard[/name] imo), [name]Mary[/name], [name]Elizabeth[/name], [name]Caroline[/name].
Boys: [name]David[/name] - Classic but slightly over used? [name]Thomas[/name] - YES!!! I love it. This gets my boy vote. ; )
[name]Edward[/name] - Doesn’t seem right with [name]Anne[/name] and [name]Richard[/name].

I think [name]Eleanor[/name] [name]Potter[/name] is lovely - I really like the name [name]Eleanor[/name], it sounds so graceful and yet so strong. Between [name]Helen[/name] and [name]Catherine[/name], I prefer [name]Helen[/name] (think I have just know way too many Catherines and Kates and Katies and Caths in my life!) :lol:
Also have to admit being a fan of [name]Josephine[/name] for a classic girls name.

I personally wouldn’t worry about the [name]Annie[/name] and [name]Alice[/name] A problem, but that’s just me. Of the boy names… I like them all but [name]David[/name], which I just find a little boring since Daves were a dime a dozen growing up ([name]John[/name] is the same to a lesser degree). I guess I would avoid [name]James[/name] [name]Potter[/name] (although I love [name]James[/name] too). My favorite is [name]Thomas[/name], but I don’t think [name]Tom[/name] [name]Potter[/name] sounds great. [name]Charles[/name] and [name]Edward[/name] sound better to me. I would consider what nicknames you would use to help me make this decision… [name]Do[/name] you really like any of the nicknames for [name]Charles[/name] (I like [name]Charlie[/name]) and [name]Edward[/name] (I like [name]Ned[/name] and [name]Ed[/name] but [name]Ted[/name] is starting to sound a little overly preppy to me).

I personally really like the name [name]James[/name] also; however, I understand if this ‘character name’ is a barrier for you!
