[name]Bear[/name] with me- I’m due in less than three weeks and we have had quite the name struggle with this baby. We decided on [name]Tessa[/name] and are trying for a great middle. My grandfather was TJ ([name]Terrance[/name] [name]Joseph[/name]) and my husband is also a TJ. I remember when we met and my grandma heard his middle name for the first time- she said, “he’s a TJ too, that’s a good sign.” [name]Both[/name] of my grandparents are gone now but I was very close to them. I thought [name]Tessa[/name] [name]Josephine[/name] would be a good way to honor them and my husband, but I don’t want to do it unless it sounds good too! So, that was a long story but please tell me if you like the name.
Probably some people will think [name]Tessa[/name] is a little nickname-ish, but I like [name]Tessa[/name] as a full name. (I like [name]Tessa[/name], but don’t like [name]Theresa[/name]). I think [name]Tessa[/name] [name]Josephine[/name] sounds good, and the meaning behind it makes it more special.
i know- i have gotten that from a few people but I’m ok with it- I don’t like [name]Theresa[/name] either. I like [name]Tessa[/name] nn [name]Tess[/name] so that’s what we’re going to go with.
I think [name]Tessa[/name] [name]Josephine[/name] is a very pretty name! I’m with both of you; I’m not a fan of the name [name]Theresa[/name], but [name]Tessa[/name] feels like a sweet, feminine name without being too frilly.
I love both [name]Tessa[/name] and [name]Josephine[/name]. Together, they are gorgeous! I don’t think [name]Tessa[/name] sounds nick-nameish AT ALL, I think it is stylish, sweet and strong enough to stand alone. And, I love your TJ story…it’s so great when you can incorporate personal meaning into a name! Congratulations!
I think [name]Tessa[/name] [name]Josephine[/name] is adorable…and while I do like [name]Theresa[/name] / [name]Therese[/name] I think it would be a bit heavy with mn [name]Josephine[/name]…[name]Tessa[/name] [name]Josephine[/name] sounds perfect!
I love it! If our son was a girl, [name]Tessa[/name] was the name Hubby & I had picked out.
I’ve always liked the name [name]Tessa[/name], and sounds good with [name]Josephine[/name]. I think [name]Tessa[/name] is a name that is familiar but has not become very popular. I think it’s fine as a stand alone name, it’s not nicknamey to me.
[name]Love[/name] it! [name]Tessa[/name] is so pretty and [name]Tessa[/name] [name]Josephine[/name] works perfectly together! I like that it has so much significance for your family.
Good luck!
My cousin is [name]Tessa[/name] [name]Noelle[/name] if you like that.
[name]Tessa[/name] [name]Josephine[/name] is nice.
[name]Tessa[/name] [name]Josephine[/name] sounds wonderful.
If you’re interested in an alternative [name]Tara[/name] [name]Josephine[/name] might work too.
Oh my gosh- did I finally find our name??!?!? So exciting! Thanks everyone!
Sorry to be the only debbie downer, but I don’t think [name]Tessa[/name] [name]Josephine[/name] flows well at all! The -ah sound to the J just seems to catch in my throat. I’ll be it, I just ate something with oatmeal and honey. To me [name]Tessa[/name] is becoming popular, but it depends on how picky your “popular” is. I think a lot of people are thinking about it, but few are actually using it, which is still a turn-off for me, for you it may be fine. Whatever floats your boat. I do like the family TJ reference, though. Best of luck, and sorry I don’t seem to share my fellow berries’ opinions…
I think it sounds wonderful and the significance is perfect! Congrats!
Absolutely love it!! I am a huge [name]Tessa[/name] fan. It is not nicknamey at all. [name]Love[/name] [name]Tessa[/name] [name]Josephine[/name].
Pretty [name]IMO[/name]
I like it!
