What is your opinion of the name: [name]Penelope[/name] [name]Violet[/name] or [name]Penelope[/name] [name]Claire[/name] for our daughter (due 12/12/12).
Her older sister’s name is [name]Linnea[/name] [name]Brighton[/name].
what’s your surname?
i think to match her older sister’s unusual original name she needs.similar style.name.and would say [name]Claire[/name] is far too mainstream. [name]Penelope[/name] [name]Violet[/name] is better. I actually prefer [name]Violet[/name] [name]Penelope[/name]
I think [name]Penelope[/name] fits with [name]Linnea[/name], but I’m not a fan of the name at all. [name]Penelope[/name] [name]Claire[/name] is nicer than [name]Penelope[/name] [name]Violet[/name] though. I like that both names relate to light. [name]Bright[/name]- [name]Claire[/name].
[name]Penelope[/name] [name]Claire[/name] gets my choice as well because of the [name]Brighton[/name]-[name]Clarity[/name] connection. That may be a bit biased though because I have never been a fan of the name [name]Violet[/name]. I think that [name]Penelope[/name] goes really well with [name]Linnea[/name]! (also, what a cool due date) Good luck! =]
I think [name]Penelope[/name] would be fine with [name]Linnea[/name]. [name]Both[/name] are multi-syllabled feminine names. The only problem that may occur is the name may increase in popularity due to the Kardashian baby. If it turns out to become another [name]Mason[/name], your girl may have to share her name with some schoolmates. If [name]Penelope[/name] is rare in your area, then by all means, go for it! I love [name]Violet[/name] but I think [name]Penelope[/name] [name]Claire[/name] flows a little better.
I would choose [name]Penelope[/name] [name]Violet[/name]! [name]Both[/name] of your daughters would have nature-inspired names, a la [name]Linnea[/name] and [name]Violet[/name].
I like [name]Penelope[/name] [name]Claire[/name]. I think [name]Claire[/name] is more classic, and [name]Violet[/name] and [name]Penelope[/name] are both a bit more trendy. I also prefer [name]Claire[/name] as a name- [name]Violet[/name] is very harsh to me, and much too close to “violent.” [name]Claire[/name] still subtly relates to [name]Brighton[/name] (Clear and bright) so you have a nice link either way.
The only hesitation I have is that I hope that this beautiful subset is not shortened to [name]Linny[/name]/[name]Penny[/name] or [name]Lin[/name]/[name]Pen[/name].
I really love [name]Violet[/name], so [name]Penelope[/name] [name]Violet[/name] gets my vote. I think a surname (or at least similar flow to a surname) would be helpful, though. I think [name]Penelope[/name] [name]Violet[/name] [name]Zane[/name] sounds better than [name]Penelope[/name] [name]Claire[/name] [name]Zane[/name], for example, but I think [name]Penelope[/name] [name]Claire[/name] [name]Hunter[/name] would sound better than [name]Penelope[/name] [name]Violet[/name] [name]Hunter[/name]…
[name]Linnea[/name] and [name]Penelope[/name] are gorgeous together, btw.
I think [name]Penelope[/name] [name]Claire[/name] has the better flow of the two when just saying the names by themselves, but I actually have a hard time saying it with the double hard “K” … well I guess triple actually. Would [name]Penelope[/name] [name]Clara[/name] Kincaid work?
[name]Claire[/name] is optimal with Kincaid. You reinforce the hard K sound in contrast to soft, flows [name]Penelope[/name]; and with such along first name a single-syllable middle works best (4-1-2 flow).
