I thought I would join in the wave of posting lists for other people to comment on as everyone seems to be enjoying it! Please give your honest opinions on the following names

[name_m]Atlas[/name_m]: not my style, but I could see it being used

[name_f]Ariadne[/name_f] – It’s not my favorite. I like [name_f]Arianne[/name_f] better.
[name_f]Astoria[/name_f] – This name reminds me of a harsh, British aunt.
[name_f]Octavia[/name_f] – Pretty, but I’m not bold enough to use it. I would love to meet a little [name_f]Octavia[/name_f] though!
[name_f]Tatiana[/name_f] – It sounds too prissy.
[name_f]Antigone[/name_f] – Tragic associations and I don’t find the name lovely enough to overlook them.
[name_f]Persephone[/name_f] – A little too dramatic. [name_f]Penelope[/name_f] is better.
[name_m]Ignatius[/name_m] – One of my guilty pleasures. [name_m]Iggy[/name_m] and [name_m]Nate[/name_m] are cute nicknames.
[name_m]Balthasar[/name_m] – A big name for a little boy.
[name_m]Ferdinand[/name_m] – It reminds me of a children’s book about a bull. Not my favorite.
[name_m]Atlas[/name_m] – I think this works better in the middle spot.
[name_m]Ambrose[/name_m] – Sounds morose.
[name_m]Castor[/name_m] – I like it!
[name_m]Demos[/name_m] – Too close to “demon”.
[name_m]Zenon[/name_m] – It has a powerful feel, but I’m not sure that I like it.

I like a lot of your girl names a lot better in theory than in practice. I actually really do like [name_f]Persephone[/name_f] and [name_f]Antigone[/name_f]. But seriously, most people are dumb. They will have no idea how to pronounce either of these names. [name_m]Just[/name_m] thinking of the people I work with and know casually, it would be a disaster. All that said, I have always had a soft spot for [name_f]Persephone[/name_f]. I think your best girl name, based on what I like most and what I think is the most wearable, is [name_f]Astoria[/name_f].
[name_m]Apollo[/name_m] is a guilty pleasure name for me. [name_u]Love[/name_u] it so much. I think on this list, I’d choose [name_m]Apollo[/name_m] and [name_m]Atlas[/name_m]. [name_m]Augustine[/name_m] comes in a close second.
