I would like to ask if the name [name_f]Kaia[/name_f] strikes you as elegant ? Thoughts ?
Elegant isn’t my first thought. The vibes I get from [name_f]Kaia[/name_f] are cool, sharp, and feminine. A nice [name_u]Kai[/name_u] alternative, and pretty versatile in terms of style imo.

I wouldn’t say I immediately think of elegant with [name_f]Kaia[/name_f]. I think of elegant names as being longer and more classic names.
Agreed that it doesn’t strike me as elegant … I think of it as more of a feminine version of [name_u]Kyle[/name_u] but maybe a bit more cool. It gives me teenager/middle school vibes, probably because a lot of my soccer teammates were [name_f]Kaia[/name_f] or something similar when I was growing up. I think a girl who always keeps her cool, very tough, a bit of a tomboy but not aggressively.
[name_f]Kaia[/name_f] has a pretty, modern, and sweet sound to me. Maybe exotic sounding, too. It’s not inelegant, I just think of other things first.

Kaia’s a great name, but I wouldn’t call it elegant per se. Spunky, cool, fun, sharp (in a good way), modern-feeling are words I would use to describe it.
it doesn’t immediately read elegant to me - in terms of “elegant” names, my mind goes to fancy classics such as audrey and madeleine - but it doesn’t seem inelegant, and i can imagine it easily on an elegant lady (as in kaia gerber).

I agree with everyone. If elegant is an important factor, I would use something like Kaiana nn [name_f]Kaia[/name_f]
I wouldn’t say elegant. I’d say fiery, wild, free-spirited, and nature-loving.
i agree with everyone else! i wouldn’t say kaia is an “elegant” name. it’s more sleek, fiery, and feminine, not inelegant, just not my first thought to an elegant name.
I agree it makes me think of a teenager. I also get surfer girl vibes from it, probably because [name_u]Kai[/name_u] means “sea” in Hawaiian.
