So I think I found the perfect name for my daughter, [name_f]Araya[/name_f]. There is a back story- my mom passed away this year and a restaurant called [name_f]Araya[/name_f]’s place was the last time we ate out together. Thats where the nanme came from. I think its beautiful, and I love the nn [name_u]Rae[/name_u].
However, my only concern is that I’m afraid it doesnt “go” with other names I like for future daughters. For instance, I like [name_f]Violet[/name_f], [name_f]Olivia[/name_f], [name_f]Claire[/name_f], [name_f]Iris[/name_f], [name_f]Julia[/name_f], [name_f]Genevieve[/name_f], [name_f]Lily[/name_f], [name_f]Lila[/name_f], etc.
[name_f]Do[/name_f] you think I should still use it?
Middle name would be [name_u]Leigh[/name_u], my moms middle name.
[name_f]Araya[/name_f] is lovely! The meaning is really special, too. I think it sits well alongside your other favorites. [name_f]Araya[/name_f] & [name_f]Iris[/name_f] is an especially gorgeous pairing. But a more popular name like [name_f]Olivia[/name_f] sounds great alongside [name_f]Araya[/name_f] too. I would absolutely use it!
If you’re still concerned, would you consider [name_f]Aurelia[/name_f] or [name_f]Aurelie[/name_f]? Might be a way to combine [name_f]Araya[/name_f] and [name_u]Leigh[/name_u].
I think it goes perfectly but I worry that they spelling is too close to [name_m]Aryan[/name_m]. But if it has meaning it’s easy to explain away.
I like [name_f]Araya[/name_f] and its signifigant to you so bonus. [name_u]Future[/name_u] daughter’s names will change all the time.
I think meaning overrules matching to other siblings. I would totally use it!
[name_f]Araya[/name_f] is beautiful and I like the significance! I actually think it works with [name_f]Violet[/name_f], [name_f]Iris[/name_f], [name_f]Genevieve[/name_f], [name_f]Lily[/name_f] and [name_f]Lila[/name_f], which is most of your names
I think it totally works, considering the meaning! Also, it works with the future name possibilities.
[name_f]Araya[/name_f] is lovely! It’s so meaningful and while it’s uncommon, it feels familiar too
Echoing what others have already said, but I think [name_f]Araya[/name_f] is so nice, especially given its special meaning. It definitely works with several of the names you like for future daughters!
Hmm, honestly not a big fan of [name_f]Araya[/name_f]. It’s very vowel heavy and feels like a combination of [name_u]Arya[/name_u] (so faddy) and [name_m]Aryan[/name_m] (bad connotations). Could you name her [name_u]Rae[/name_u] instead? Though [name_u]Rae[/name_u] [name_u]Leigh[/name_u] is a bit severe.
I like [name_f]Araya[/name_f]. It sounds pretty. I’ve never heard of it before, but it sounds familiar and not too strange. I think it works well with the names you said, particularly [name_f]Violet[/name_f] and [name_f]Genevieve[/name_f]
I think [name_f]Araya[/name_f] is beautiful and I love the meaning behind it! I think it can definitely work well with some of your other favourites down the road.
I like [name_f]Araya[/name_f]. It works well with your names, though names I would consider to match are
Theodora
[name_f]Clementine[/name_f]
[name_f]Viola[/name_f]
[name_f]Gwyneth[/name_f]
I don’t understand people caring about names “going”. People change, styles change. We’re such complex creatures that it’s silly to think we can only like one style and names have to “go” together. I don’t like [name_f]Araya[/name_f] as a name despite your connection to it because I just think “A ray of” y’know?
I don’t believe in needing siblings names to ‘match’ or ‘go well’ together so I would definitely use it given the significance to you.
